Young Variety will hold its seventh annual ‘RockWiz meets Singing Bee’ event tomorrow night (Saturday) at the Thebarton Hub Community Centre.

Young Variety hopes to raise $10,000 which will be used to support disadvantaged youth in South Australia through helping to fund camps which will increase self-esteem, leadership, motivation, team work and responsibility.

Tickets to the event are still on sale for a night of singing, dancing and musical trivia.

RockWiz guests will be greeted on arrival on the red carpet with a glass of champagne. Headlining the event will be Adelaide band The Cast with vocals by Cat Southern.

Young Variety Chair, Josh Pugh, says the event is a wonderful opportunity to support young South Australians in need.

“Young Variety is a unique group that uses events like RockWiz to draw attention to our cause, tickets are selling fast so make sure you get online to get yours,” Josh said.

Young Variety is a committee of Variety – the Children’s Charity of South Australia, formed as a networking group of young professionals aged 18-40 with a purpose to give their time to disadvantaged youth in South Australia. They aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of those that need it most.

Also entertaining guests on the night will be nine year old Jacob Kaltapanidis of Birkenhead, who was born prematurely and endured brain, heart and abdominal surgery before the age of six.  He lives with Global Development Delay and is a talented drummer, whose tuition has been funded by Variety.
