It’s been quite the whirlwind of a year with Father’s Day already fast approaching, but we may have an outrageous gift to give to your loved one ahead of the big day.
Angle Vale Wholesale Meats pondered the question – what if we sold a Mettwurst that’s 5 feet tall? And guess what, they have done just that.
The giant Garlic Kalleske Mettwurst is now the result of all of our meat hopes and dreams, for the humble price of just $60.
However, the team at Angle Vale Wholesale Meats haven’t taken all the credit for this wonderful statement sausage.
“Kelleske Meats have been one of our prime partners for years now. Not only do they provide us with more of these novelty products but they are also committed to providing the best products to us and to its customers,” Fiona says.
“We have been getting the Mettwurst from Kelleske every year for Father’s Day. It seems to always sell well, but we were pleasantly surprised by the reception it received on Facebook,” Fiona continues.
Fiona also emphasised the importance of buying local and the huge implications it has to the success of other local business.
“We support SA and support local businesses because it’s such a no-brainer. We’ve even run competitions with SA businesses such as the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company with its giant freckle. It’s just been a great way to connect SA businesses with our customers,” Fiona says.
Kelleske Meats are also super proud of their efforts with the team heading to Cleve to debut this year’s batch of giant Mettwurst’s.
“We’re actually about to head to the Eyre Peninsula to sell some of our products and we’re going to bring about 400 of the 5ft Mettwurst’s with us,” Dale says.
