Here’s your guide to Adelaide venues hosting Triple J Hottest 100 of Australian Songs events this Saturday.

This weekend, one of Australia’s favourite radio broadcasters is celebrating their 50 years in total style. In a twist to their much-loved and anticipated Hottest 100, Triple J are hosting a special mid-year addition exclusively for the very best of Australian music. For the last few weeks, Triple J has been calling on Aussies to get their votes in for their favourite music by Australian artists, with the top 100 to be revealed this Saturday.

From 9:30am ACST, they’ll be playing the songs with the top votes, counting down to what the public deems the very best. Just like the annual Hottest 100 that counts down the best songs of the year, you’ll be able to tune in from your radio or online, or catch it live from a few locations across the state.

Here’s a handful of places where you can get together with your mates and listen in.

Gilbert St Hotel

If you’re looking for an inner-city location, the Gilbert St Hotel are throwing a full day celebration. They’ll be counting down from 100 to 1 with great all-Australian beers on tap and no entry fee.

This is the perfect spot to gather your mates, kick back and settle in for a one-day-only listening session honouring the best music Australia has to offer. Plus, with the Showdown on that afternoon, this is the perfect spot for pre-drinks and dinner!

Port Burger

Port Burger in Port Noarlunga have heaps on for the Hottest 100, with a special breakfast club, followed by food, drinks, and prizes all day long. Kicking off at 9:30am you’ll be able to indulge in their all-new breakfast menu. They’ve been hinting at extravagant classics like French toast and chicken waffle sandwiches, with a local coffee cart on deck too.

After this, they’ve got the usual lunch menu, and of course, tonnes of burgers, plus $500 worth of prizes in their guess the song competition, and best dressed competition for coming dressed as your favourite Aussie artist.

From 11am they’ll have $8 brews and cocktails for only $15 while the Hottest 100 is playing.

The Suburban Brew

The Suburban Brew Taprooms in Goodwood and Glynde Brewery will both be holding Triple J countdown parties this Saturday. These great spots will be serving up your favourite beers to a background of some pretty great Aussie tunes.

Tower Hotel

The Tower Hotel in Magill are also getting in the spirit with their Hottest 100 countdown party. They’ll be playing the entire countdown and want you to bring your votes, mates, and hottest takes as you settle in for a day of undoubtedly fantastic music.

They’ll also have a Happy Hour from 2pm to 4pm, with food and drink specials all day. They’re making a proper day of it, so head on down and enjoy!
