If you’re on this page, it means you’re hungry and ready to join Adelaide’s growing food board craze. There’s now gelato boards and pasta boards, but the original breakfast platter will forever have our heart.

Loaded with eggs, meats, veggies and breads, these boards are stacked and ready for consumption. And besides, they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why not have a massive, colourful one to share with friends?

Here are some of Adelaide’s best breakfast platters.

Luigi Delicatessen

Look no further for an epic breakfast board: Luigi Delicatessen serves up the city’s best breakfas, and their platter is stacked with bacon, sausage, eggs, bread, veggies, and sauces. You can feast on this delicious share platter in the restaurant’s beautiful venue, which has an open kitchen and open bar, so you can watch as they prepare both your food and coffee.

Luigi Delicatessen is no stranger to Adelaide’s food board craze, and is fact often cited as its originator. The Franklin Street restaurant, which was on Flinders Street for many years prior, has crafted their signature share platters, which include meat platters, seafood boards, breakfast platters, and homemade pasta boards, since its opening.

Find Luigi Delicatessen at 43 Franklin Street.

Dough Balls

Dough Balls is known for their epic pizza, but the brand is now leveling up their brunch game!

In addition to a breakfast platter loaded with hash browns, avocado, mushrooms, tomatoes, dough balls with capers and salmon, and more, the Mawson Lakes and Glenelg eatery has also launched dough balls French toast, and vegan breakfast pizza.

Find Dough Balls in Shop 4 Moseley Square, Glenelg and 2 Mawson Lakes, Victoria Parade.

Istanbul Lounge

Istanbul Lounge bring a taste of Turkey to Adelaide with their amazing Turkish breakfast platter – the only place to find one in Adelaide!

Your platter will be piled high with turkish sausage, egg, greens, rose or cherry jam, honey, roasted vegetable dip and hommus, served with Turkish bread and a pot of black or apple tea.

Find Istanbul Lounge at 318 Magill Rd, Kensington Park.

The Moseley

Glenelg favourite the Moseley offers two brekky platters, one naughty and one nice.

The “naughty” has toast, maple glazed bacon, eggs cooked your way, chorizo, house baked beans, blistered tomato and potato rosti. The “nice” has toast, guacamole, eggs cooked your way, dukkha, kale, musrooms, blistered tomato and fetta – Both options sound delicious to us!

Find The Moseley at 11 Moseley Square, Glenelg.

Cafe Sia

Cafe Sia in Gawler has a breakfast board with fairy floss, eggs, waffles, toast, tomatoes, avocado, and more!

The eatery is known for their epic loaded desserts, such as their stacked dessert board with rock road, a caramel popcorn slider, chocolate-coated pretzels, and more… but it’s their breakfast board that has caught our eye this morning.

Find Cafe Sia at 4 Tulloch Road, Gawler Green Shopping Centre, Evanston.

Messy Tomato

Popular CBD eatery Messy Tomato is known for its long share boards. Sitting in the space that was formerly Luigi Delicatessen, the café took inspiration from its former owner and carried on the breakfast platter tradition with its own spin. While their other dishes are also delicious, breakfast platters are kind of their thing… especially when you can make them boozy!

Find Messy Tomato at 151 Flinders Street.
