We have gorgeous cellar doors, breweries and distilleries throughout the Adelaide Hills, Barossa and beyond, and we also have plenty in the CBD for your more local adventures.

South Australia is known for its amazing wineries, craft beer scene, and being the Gin State of Australia — but did you know that you don’t need to venture far from the city to meet the makers.

While we have gorgeous cellar doors, breweries and distilleries throughout the Adelaide Hills, Barossa and beyond, we also have plenty in the city for your more local adventures!

WINERIES

Tomich Wines

This multi award winning winery is stocked with a vast array of wines from white to red. With an estate from the Adelaide Hills, this cellar door is located within the Adelaide CBD. Grab a friend (or just a book), take a seat, and enjoy a lovely wine coupled with matching cheeses on their city veranda.

Signature Wines

This hidden beauty on King Street, open Monday to Friday, offers flavour packed wines from the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. The family owned business is sure to not disappoint with their amazing pizza menu and popular, often sold out, Shiraz.

Amadio Wine

Another hidden jewel in Felixstow, this cellar door offers a range of 16 different wines. Amadio Wine originated from an Italian wine maker who later moved to Adelaide, you’ll get a little taste of Italy in a glass of this wine, ranging from white, red, sparkling, to alternative specialities.

Schubert Estate City Cellar

A winery that’s been around for over a century, you can find Schubert Estate’s cellar door near Burnside. You can taste a sweet yet dry Viognier or a premium and well loved Shiraz. Its the perfect spot for a relaxing drink, even mixed with a shopping day, open 9 to 5 weekdays.

Penfold’s Magill Estate

Embrace the red and white, and travel the 8 kilometres from the CBD to enjoy the peace of Penfold’s. Being around for over 175 years, Penfold’s is the pinnacle of well-loved wines. And you can try their country flavours in Magill, open 7 days. The cellar is also home to a fine dining restaurant, offering tranquil views of their first vineyard.

Located in Goodwood, Fox Gordon Wines’ city cellar door is a unique and luxurious tasting room. Visit them for a private tasting or host your own memorable event!

5-star cellar door on Adelaide’s doorstep, and only 10 minutes from Brighton! Patritti cellar door stocks a full range of table wines, fortified wines, de-alcoholised wines, and juices all produced onsite at the Dover Gardens winery.

Koppamurra Wines

Prohibition

Ever since they first popped up on our radar, Prohibition Liquor Co have been one of our faves (and yes, it has everything to do with their spectacular gin). Their tasting room boasts a variety of gin cocktails, a huge menu, plenty of beer and cider, as well as non-alcoholic drinks for those of you so inclined.

Twenty Third Street Distilling

The legends at Twenty Third Street Distilling are serving up all the best kinds of spirits. Vodka, brandy, whisk(e)y, gin — whatever tickles your fancy, you’ll find it here. You can also opt for an experience like Time & Passion tasting or the Vale Brewing Tasting Experience (for ale lovers).

Lady Burra Brewhouse

Pirate Life Brewing

Sail to Pirate Life Brewing in Port Adelaide and explore the variety of beers available. Ranging from Pale Ale to a classic Stout, they have 24 taps to try out, food trucks, toasties, cheese boards and takeaway cans. It’s family friendly, open 7 days a week, and can easily become you and your mates next hang out joint.

Little Bang Brewing Co

You’re sure to find your next favourite brew at this hidden gem in Stepney. Their can designs are completely unique with original names like ‘Galactopus’, ‘Little Banger’ and ‘Pinkening’, making every drink an experience. With a tap room and live music, why not give the Little Bang Brewing Co. a go?

Big Shed Brewing Co.

The Big Shed Brewing Co is home to a range of interesting brews. Two of their beers are inspired by the US, which bring in pine and apricot flavours. They also have a promising dessert beer ‘Golding Stout Time’, which takes its inspiration for the Australian favourite Golden Gaytime.

A female founded beer and wine company, Sparkke At The Whitmore has a vast array of options, colourfully named things like ‘What’s Planet B?’ and ‘Nipples Are Nipples’. Sparkke are huge supporters of charitable causes and they show this through their progressive can designs and quotes. Check them out at the Whitmore, open 7 days a week.

Sweet Amber Brewing Co

Beer and pizza, a match made in heaven — wait, we’ve been here already. Well, it’s the truth, and it’s also what Sweet Amber Brewing Company do best. They’re totally independent, they dish out wood oven pizzas, and they’re pet friendly! What more could you ask for?

Brew Boys

Brew Boys in Croydon Park is a family owned brewery and tap room. There are plenty of brews for you to choose from — plus some fancy going-ons. You’ll want to check out their Dean Man’s Hand, which is fortified in wine barrels made from American oak, making it rich and complex in texture and taste. Count us in.

Coopers Brewery

Coopers Brewery has been a South Australian icon for around for 150 years, so they know a thing or two about brewing beer. Regency Park is home to the huge structure that is Coopers Brewery. Visitors are encouraged to explore the place, book a tour, and try a tasting of the variety of beers Coopers create!

Talking about icons, the West End brewery is also open for exploring! There’s even a 90 walking tour that ends in a beer tasting.
