While perhaps this experience is an obvious choice, the Barossa Valley Chocolate tasting is definitely one you want to cross off your bucket list!

Taylors Wines
Residing in the Southern end of Clare Valley, this indulgent experience at Taylors Wines is every chocoholic’s dream!
The self-guided tasting leads you through a selection of four of Taylors award-winning wines, matched with squares of delectably smooth and rich Cuvée chocolate straight from the Mornington Peninsula. No need to worry if you’re a tasting novice, the flight comes with a step-by-step guide so you’ll leave the experience an expert of all things chocolate and wine.
The tasting is only $15 per person and is open seven days a week, between 10 am and 3 pm. Due to limited capacity restrictions, bookings are strongly recommended.
Enjoy a game of boules or cricket on the winery’s lush lawns after your tasting or bask in the sunshine as you recover from the flavour-explosive experience.

Hugh Hamilton
Visit the Black Sheep of McLaren Vale and treat your taste buds at Hugh Hamilton winery.
Taste the three Single Vineyard Shiraz – or ‘Black Blood Trio’ – matched expertly with boutique chocolates from KOKOPOD. Within this tasting, you will discover the power of ‘terroir’- a word that the team at Hugh Hamilton believes encapsulates the wine’s unique environment and origin.
The tasting costs $20 per person, with the cellar door open from 11 am to 5 pm every day. The last tasting will commence at 4 pm each day, with bookings highly recommended for this indulgent flight.
Enjoy the fun and flirty wines of Hugh Hamilton as you admire the vineyards from the rotunda-like cellar door. The 270-degree-view is spectacular all year round as the leaves turn from bright green to autumnal red in the cooler months before budding again in Spring.

Chalk Hill Wines is one of the most iconic Mclarenvale-based wineries we can think of, so of course, they have the perfect afternoon of wine and chocolate planned for us!
Located on the very top of Chalk Hill, the views of the surrounding vineyards and greenery are truly breathtaking. With a selection of local artisan chocolate beautifully paired with a flight of Chalk Hill wines, the experience is most definitely worth the hype!

Elderton Wines
The Nuriootpa-based winery, Elderton Wines, has created a chocolate-centred tasting that is every sweet tooth’s wildest dream!
The seated, decadent tasting flight features a range of six wines from the Elderton range, paired with premium chocolates produced by one of Australia’s best chocolatiers. The experience will allow you to decide which luxe chocolates best pair with some of the best wines from the Barossa.
The tasting lasts approximately 30 minutes and costs $25 per person. Due to current restrictions, it’s recommended you book the tasting in advance.
Relax in the 1918 classic bungalow surrounded by the Elderton vines, with the historical homestead of the winemaker’s family providing the perfect place to wine and dine in all things chocolate.

Calling all red wine lovers! This is the experience for you, with Beresford Wines creating the ultimate Shiraz and Chocolate tasting at their McLaren Vale cellar door.
Enjoy a Shiraz from each tier of the Beresford range, each matched to locally crafted chocolate for a truly indulgent experience. There is no better combination than a deep bold red and rich, spiced chocolate, with this tasting the perfect addition to any winter wine tour.
The tasting pavilion welcomes groups of up to 12 for a guided flight experience, with the chocolate and shiraz experience costing $25 per head and lasting approximately 1 hour.
Nestled in the rolling hills of the McLaren Vale wine region, the tasting pavilion resides within the Beresford 70-acre vineyard. Chief Winemaker, Chris Dix strives to encapsulate the nuance of the vineyard in every drop he creates.

As a part of their Shiraz Revolution tasting experience, guests will have the opportunity to taste the winery’s extensive range of shiraz accompanied by mouthwatering chocolates curated by chef Tom Boden.
