Starting next week, Adelaide will serve up an epic tennis experience as the Adelaide International 2025 takes centre stage. From Monday January 6th to Saturday January 11th, The Drive on War Memorial Drive will transform into a world-class tennis arena, hosting both WTA 500 and ATP 250 tournaments. With a $2.5 million prize pool and valuable world ranking points on the line, Adelaide is the place to be for tennis fans looking to catch all the action this summer.
Of course, there will be exciting matches, but there will also be live music, entertainment, and heaps of fun activities for the whole family. Here’s what you can expect!
- Kids’ Day (Monday January 6th): Start the tournament with a bang! Kids get free entry, and there’s loads to keep them entertained, including water slides, tennis inflatables, mini-golf, giant games, and player appearances. Plus, food trucks and fun games for all ages.
- Racquets & Strings Entertainment Program: The fun continues throughout the week with live bands, DJs, and a massive entertainment precinct on Pinky Flat. More bars, food stalls, and chill-out zones will keep you refreshed and relaxed between matches.
- Pride Day (Friday January 10th): A dedicated day of celebrations, highlighting inclusivity and diversity in sport.
- Tennisfest: More than 50 activities across the week, including Tennis Hot Shots Schools Finals, All Abilities Day, Coin Tosses, and Centre Court activations.
With more than 140 of the world’s top tennis stars, including Thanasi Kokkinakis, Tommy Paul, and Jelena Ostapenko, this event is not one to miss for tennis fans. The Adelaide International 2025 will feature some of the biggest names in tennis:
- Men’s Draw: Hometown hero Thanasi Kokkinakis to be joined by top-20 men, Tommy Paul and Lorenzo Musetti. Sebastian Korda (world No.22) and Felix Auger-Aliassime (former world No.6, now world No.29) add to the strong ATP men’s draw.
- Women’s Draw: Expect a stellar lineup, with 13 of the world’s top-20 women confirmed to compete with five in the top-10, including world No.4 Jasmine Paolini, world No.7 Jessica Pegula, world No.8 Emma Navarro, world No.9 Dara Kastakina and world No.10 Barboa Krejcikova.
“Featuring some of the world’s top men and women players competing in world-class matches, next month the Adelaide International promises to deliver more than just thrilling tennis – it’s the ultimate fusion of high-end entertainment, elite sport and a total event experience,” Tennis SA CEO and Adelaide International General Manager Debbie Sterrey said.
Former Australian tennis champion Alicia Molik will once again serve as Tournament Director for the 2025 event. An originator in Australian tennis, Molik’s leadership makes sure the Adelaide International continues to be a world-class event.
“The calibre of both the ATP and WTA players entered to compete at the Adelaide International is really pleasing and means that tennis fans are going to see high-quality, world class tennis once again,” Molik said.
“Both the men’s and women’s competitions feature two exceptionally strong fields. The Adelaide International is known for providing the best player experience, and we’re eager to welcome the emerging stars of world tennis to The Drive and South Australia.”
