February is packed full of amazing events, so here’s some of our favourites to fill your Summer days.


In a blink of the eye, the end of summer is looming. Now, we all know this mean we’re going to start prepping for the hibernation season soon. A comfy couch, bottles of wine, delicious cheese to pair and Netflix subscription updated. But, we must say, is everyone crazy!

A new month means a whole new list of events that we’ve got to get through. You all know the drill. We’ve got all the things you enjoy. Events for the wino’s, sports fanatics and the musically obsessed. Let’s not forget the Adelaide Fringe Festival is back again, bigger and better than ever before. Clear every night you have this month because with all of this you’re never going to see the couch.

Wednesday, February 1 – The Cali Paracombe Wines Dinner. Glorious food and fine Paracombe Adelaide wines all night. Your evening can’t get better than that. Tickets are only $98 with $20 per tickets being donated to the Leukemia Foundation. All wine and food lovers will be devouring a delicious five-course dinner that will be matched with an amazing selection of 11 Paracombe Wines. Thursday, February 2 – Mummy’s Wine Club featuring Yangarra Estate. It’s back for 2017 and it’s going to be the ultimate mum’s night out at the Henry Austin. Whether you’re totally new to wine or seasoned professionals, all you mums will love it. Taste a selection of their wines, learn something new and have some fun with like-minded mummies. Tickets are $36 per person, which includes a guided tasting with the winemakers and nibbles.

Friday, February 3 – Man vs. Machine. Your chance to be part of all the action in this battle to be remembered for generations to come. ‘The Man’ and ‘The Machine’ will settle the score once and for all at the Adelaide Oval. It will certainly be one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year. Get your tickets here.

Friday, February 3 – Feast and Beats at Serafino. Indulge in a night market every Friday of each month. They’re open from 5 pm to 9 pm, giving you lakeside stalls and free entertainment. Just remember to BYO picnic blanket.

Friday, February 3 – Fridays at 5 at The Henry Austin. Meet, taste and discover festival wineries in the lead up to the 2017 Cellar Door Fest. The first week will showcase Gemtree Wines, Lost Buoy Wines, ArtWine and Sussex Squire Wines. After work drinks have never been so amazing.

Friday, February 3 – St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival. Wondering what’s fresh on the music scene. Well, Laneway Festival is the place to hit up this Feb. The likes of Aurora, Tourist, Rolands Ting and more are set to perform against the stunning backdrop of Port Adelaide. Scoop up your tickets now.

Friday, February 3 – Steampunk Galactic Circus. Five huge international acts with the legend himself Craig Charles aka Lister set to smash the dance floor of Adelaide in this once in a lifetime event. Second release tickets are available for $40.

Saturday, February 4 – Love Langhorne Creek. Cheese and wine Masterclass, giant Jenga, gourmet sliders, and special menus specifically paired to alternative wines. If you haven’t bought your tickets yet then check out the full list of activities planned and you’ll have your ticket in no time at all. A shuttle bus will let you enjoy the fantastic venues and you’ll receive a free glass of wine upon arrival. Return tickets are $30. Get your tickets here.

Saturday, February 4 – The Guild Marketplace Launch Weekend. Over two days enjoy the launch of the new, weekly market held undercover in the East End of Flinders Street. Come explore the amazing art, vintage, handmade, live music and food. Bring the kids and all the puppies. It’s all free entry.

Sunday, February 5 – Pets at the Pub. Bring the pooches back to RSPCA’s Pets at the Pub at the National Wine Centre. While your four-legged canine friends are treated to special doggy treats and a bit of butt-sniffing, you can tempt your taste buds with Paella and quench that thirst with beer, wine, cider and soft drinks.

Sunday, February 5 – Wine and Cheese Masterclass. A complete sensory experience feasting on a handpicked selection of wine and divine cheese from Woodside Cheese Wrights. Sunday, February 5 – A Day on the Green with Simple Minds and the B-52s. The majestic Simple Minds and the party vibes of The B-52s are coming to Leconfield Wines for a captivating summer tour. Get your tickets here.

Sunday, February 5 – The Porch Sessions. Ready for show number 4 of the season? The boys of Winterbourne are bringing the most delicious local food, wine, barista-brewed coffee and hand-crafted sweets while you plonk yourself down on a froth off bean bags, rugs and cushions for some music. Sunday, February 5 – Channel 7 Brighton Jetty Classic. South Australia’s largest open water swim and the street festival is back for another year. Come along to witness or participate in the race. But, if swimming isn’t your strong point perhaps the sculpture competition is? Entry is $35.

Sunday, February 5 – Labels Style Markets. A day of fashion and fun at Plant 4 Bowden. There’s something for everyone including unique and specially picked homewares and decor, to Style Bar for hairstyles and makeovers. Check out one of our favourite stores The Style Capsule – word on the street is they’re doing 50% off everything! There will also be a fashion parade on the ground level, amazing eateries and a bar upstairs. Entry is $2 and the first 250 guests at 10 am will receive a promo bag jam packed with tonnes of goodies, samples and vouchers.

Tuesday, February 7 – Murder and Redemption. At Adelaide Town Hall Pekka Kuusisto and Sam Amidon will perform their reimagine the work of Tolstoy with American folk murder ballads and shaker hymns in Murder and Redemption. Get your tickets here.

Thursday, February 9 – Suzi Quatro Leather Forever Encore Tour. Suzi will bring Andy Scott from The Sweet on guitar and vocals and Don Powell from Slade on drums to perform as QSP for the opening act. In the second half of the show, in her leather jumpsuit, Suzi will have an eight-piece band, performing the hit programme at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Get your tickets here.

Thursday, February 9 – James Taylor with Special guest Bernard Fanning and Kasey Chambers. In Botanic Park James Taylor with special guests, Bernard Fanning and Kasey Chambers are set to perform. Come along for an evening of fantastic music and great food. Tickets can be purchased here.

Friday, February 10 – SASS Summit. Be inspired and motivated with a phenomenal lineup of talented South Australian Female Change makers. Tickets are $269 for general admission or $249 if you’re a member. Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea plus tea and coffee are all provided. You’ll have the chance to listen to keynote speakers, a Q&A panel and participate in four workshops. Plus, they’ve selected fantastic gifts just to spoil you a little.

Friday, February 10 – West End Redbacks vs. Victoria. Flock to the Adelaide Oval and cheer on the South Aussies for the four-day battle.

Friday, February 10 – The Hollies. The best-loved groups from the 1960’s British Rock Revolution will soar into the Adelaide Entertainment Centre to perform their distinctive harmonies, brilliantly crafted songs and sublime musicianship along with their hugely popular hits. Get your tickets here.

Saturday, February 11 – Wirra Wirra Shiraz Revolution Masterclass. Wirra Wirra is offering a revolutionary shiraz experience with a selection of their best shiraz and museum wines. Sunday, February 12 – Hot 100 Harvest. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hot 100 Wines, the National Wine Centre introduces the first full-day celebration of SA’s most drinkable wine. Come along and indulge in the finest locally sourced produce and live entertainment. Thursday, February 16 – Kangaroo Island Racing Club. Two fantastic days of racing with the state’s leading jockeys expected to make this a great carnival.

Thursday, February 16 – ISPS HANDA Women’s Australian Open. They’ve got the hottest player in world golf, Ariya Jatanugarn, set to swing. At the Royal Adelaide Golf Club watch the world’s leading female golfers compete for a share of the US $1.3 million tournament purse. Expect brilliance when you come to see the stars live.

Thursday February 16The Garden of Unearthly Delights launches. Giddy up.

Tuesday, February 17 – Adelaide Fringe Festival begins. All venues, big and small are popping up this month to house thousands of artists from all over Adelaide, Australia and the world to put on a performance you’ll never forget. In an alleyway, a tent, pub, laundromat or an abandoned hospital for the criminally insane you’ll never know what to expect. There’s something for everyone with free events and new talents pouring into the Adelaide. What shape they’ll take you’ll never know until you go! Check out the events on their online guide.

Friday, February 17 – At First Light. Adelaide’s biggest morning dance party is coming to Victoria Square. Set your alarm clocks for an early wake-up and shimmy on down to the heart of the city to drop it like it’s hot. Stay up-to-date on the event page. So, far there’s going to be yoga, coffee, breakfast and some great musical entertainment.

Friday, February 17 – Fleurieu Fringe. Every weekend during the Fringe take in the Artistic feast on the senses that have been planned. Adelaide’s southern outdoor Fringe Hub will feature live entertainment, performing arts, children’s activities, art installations, workshops, food trucks, bars and artisan markets every Friday, 5 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, 3 pm til 9 pm. Entry is by donation and via Wearing Street.   

Friday, February 17 – Adelaide United vs. Newcastle Jets. At Coopers Stadium Adelaide United will battle with Newcastle Jets. Get your tickets here.

Friday, February 17 – Family Day 2017. The annual Port Adelaide Family Day is back with the traditional trial game starting at 5 pm. There will be an autograph session, entertainment, giveaways, food and drinks. Only a gold coin donation for entry, which will go to the Power to be Positive program.

Saturday, February 18 – Australian Beach Polo. It’s all glamour and exciting sports on the spectacular Glenelg setting. In the chic and vibrant lounge sip on premium beverages and enjoy an abundance of delicious cuisine while mingling in the luxurious surrounding. Get your tickets here.

Saturday, February 18 – Guns N’ Roses Not In This Lifetime Tour. If you haven’t heard about it yet, where have you been? The rock tour of the century is coming to Adelaide. Wednesday, February 22 – KFC T20 International: Australia vs. Sri Lanka. Cricket fantics rejoice as Adelaide Oval hosts an additional KFC T20 International fixture for the summer. Fans young and old can enjoy the T20 Family Zone with plenty of entertainment options both on and off the pitch.

Wednesday, February 22 – AFC Champions League 2017. A-League Champions take on Asia’s best in the AFC Champions League 2017. See who Adelaide United will play off first. Get your tickets here.

Friday, February 24 – Sunday, February 26 – Cellar Door Fest. Meet, taste and discover more than 180 South Australian wineries, breweries, distilleries and food producers all under one roof at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Friday, February 24 – Live on 5. Adelaide’s newest Fringe venue will kick off at the Adelaide Oval. Level 5 of the Riverbank Stand will be transformed into 7 stages to host 58 shows that feature 206 artists. Saturday, February 25 – African Street Festival. Five talented Kenyan artists will transform Eliza Street with inspiring street art to be launched with a festival showcasing African music, cuisine, art and culture.

Saturday, February 25 – West End Redbacks vs. Queensland. Another four-day battle to hit the Adelaide Oval. Entry is free and there are three sessions each day. Plenty of time to catch our South Aussies bat against Queensland.
