In a blink of the eye, the end of summer is looming. Now, we all know this mean we’re going to start prepping for the hibernation season soon. A comfy couch, bottles of wine, delicious cheese to pair and Netflix subscription updated. But, we must say, is everyone crazy!

A new month means a whole new list of events that we’ve got to get through. You all know the drill. We’ve got all the things you enjoy. Events for the wino’s, sports fanatics and the musically obsessed. Let’s not forget the Adelaide Fringe Festival is back again, bigger and better than ever before. Clear every night you have this month because with all of this you’re never going to see the couch.
Wednesday, February 1 – The Cali Paracombe Wines Dinner. Glorious food and fine Paracombe Adelaide wines all night. Your evening can’t get better than that. Tickets are only $98 with $20 per tickets being donated to the Leukemia Foundation. All wine and food lovers will be devouring a delicious five-course dinner that will be matched with an amazing selection of 11 Paracombe Wines. Thursday, February 2 – Mummy’s Wine Club featuring Yangarra Estate. It’s back for 2017 and it’s going to be the ultimate mum’s night out at the Henry Austin. Whether you’re totally new to wine or seasoned professionals, all you mums will love it. Taste a selection of their wines, learn something new and have some fun with like-minded mummies. Tickets are $36 per person, which includes a guided tasting with the winemakers and nibbles.
Friday, February 3 – Man vs. Machine. Your chance to be part of all the action in this battle to be remembered for generations to come. ‘The Man’ and ‘The Machine’ will settle the score once and for all at the Adelaide Oval. It will certainly be one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year. Get your tickets here.
Friday, February 3 – Feast and Beats at Serafino. Indulge in a night market every Friday of each month. They’re open from 5 pm to 9 pm, giving you lakeside stalls and free entertainment. Just remember to BYO picnic blanket.
Friday, February 3 – Fridays at 5 at The Henry Austin. Meet, taste and discover festival wineries in the lead up to the 2017 Cellar Door Fest. The first week will showcase Gemtree Wines, Lost Buoy Wines, ArtWine and Sussex Squire Wines. After work drinks have never been so amazing.
Friday, February 3 – St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival. Wondering what’s fresh on the music scene. Well, Laneway Festival is the place to hit up this Feb. The likes of Aurora, Tourist, Rolands Ting and more are set to perform against the stunning backdrop of Port Adelaide. Scoop up your tickets now.

Friday, February 3 – Steampunk Galactic Circus. Five huge international acts with the legend himself Craig Charles aka Lister set to smash the dance floor of Adelaide in this once in a lifetime event. Second release tickets are available for $40.
Saturday, February 4 – Love Langhorne Creek. Cheese and wine Masterclass, giant Jenga, gourmet sliders, and special menus specifically paired to alternative wines. Saturday, February 4 – The Guild Marketplace Launch Weekend. Over two days enjoy the launch of the new, weekly market held undercover in the East End of Flinders Street. Come explore the amazing art, vintage, handmade, live music and food. Bring the kids and all the puppies. It’s all free entry.
Sunday, February 5 – Pets at the Pub. Bring the pooches back to RSPCA’s Pets at the Pub at the National Wine Centre. While your four-legged canine friends are treated to special doggy treats and a bit of butt-sniffing, you can tempt your taste buds with Paella and quench that thirst with beer, wine, cider and soft drinks.
Sunday, February 5 – Wine and Cheese Masterclass. A complete sensory experience feasting on a handpicked selection of wine and divine cheese from Woodside Cheese Wrights. Sunday, February 5 – Channel 7 Brighton Jetty Classic. South Australia’s largest open water swim and the street festival is back for another year. Come along to witness or participate in the race. But, if swimming isn’t your strong point perhaps the sculpture competition is? Entry is $35.
Sunday, February 5 – Labels Style Markets. A day of fashion and fun at Plant 4 Bowden. There’s something for everyone including unique and specially picked homewares and decor, to Style Bar for hairstyles and makeovers. Thursday, February 9 – Suzi Quatro Leather Forever Encore Tour. Suzi will bring Andy Scott from The Sweet on guitar and vocals and Don Powell from Slade on drums to perform as QSP for the opening act. In the second half of the show, in her leather jumpsuit, Suzi will have an eight-piece band, performing the hit programme at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Get your tickets here.

Tuesday, February 17 – Adelaide Fringe Festival begins. All venues, big and small are popping up this month to house thousands of artists from all over Adelaide, Australia and the world to put on a performance you’ll never forget. In an alleyway, a tent, pub, laundromat or an abandoned hospital for the criminally insane you’ll never know what to expect. There’s something for everyone with free events and new talents pouring into the Adelaide. What shape they’ll take you’ll never know until you go! Check out the events on their online guide.
Friday, February 17 – At First Light. Adelaide’s biggest morning dance party is coming to Victoria Square. Set your alarm clocks for an early wake-up and shimmy on down to the heart of the city to drop it like it’s hot. Stay up-to-date on the event page. So, far there’s going to be yoga, coffee, breakfast and some great musical entertainment.
Friday, February 17 – Fleurieu Fringe. Every weekend during the Fringe take in the Artistic feast on the senses that have been planned. Adelaide’s southern outdoor Fringe Hub will feature live entertainment, performing arts, children’s activities, art installations, workshops, food trucks, bars and artisan markets every Friday, 5 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, 3 pm til 9 pm. Entry is by donation and via Wearing Street.
Friday, February 17 – Family Day 2017. The annual Port Adelaide Family Day is back with the traditional trial game starting at 5 pm. There will be an autograph session, entertainment, giveaways, food and drinks. Only a gold coin donation for entry, which will go to the Power to be Positive program.
