The Royal Adelaide Show is back, bigger, and more breathtaking than ever in 2025, bringing with it an exciting lineup of new rides, competitions, entertainment, and special events celebrating 100 years of the Adelaide Showground at Wayville. There are heaps of new things to switch up your Royal Adelaide Show experience, so whether you’re looking for some epic entertainment or something to get the kids excited, you’re in luck!
New Rides

Jump straight in with some high-intensity action as new rides are bringing a whole other level of fun to the carnival. Headlined by ‘The Phoenix’, Australia’s only ride of its kind, experience 4G forces, epic tilts, and flicking seats, in an adrenaline rush that will leave you breathless.
Also making its Adelaide debut is the ‘Wild Mouse Coaster’, a daringly designed ride where cars are wider than the track, giving riders the dizzying illusion of hanging off the side.
Tasty Testers

Get ready to eat, sip and savour the very best of South Australia at this year’s Royal Adelaide Show!
Taste SA, presented by Drakes Supermarkets, brings together more than 35 local producers from across the state, offering everything from olives and oils to smallgoods, condiments, baked treats, honey, spirits and wine. It’s a true foodie’s paradise, where you can sample, shop, and chat directly with the makers behind your favourite local flavours.
This year also sees a refreshed program for The New Taste of SA, presented by Drakes – a pop-up with purpose showcasing SA’s rising food and beverage start-ups. These young businesses (less than three years old) will take over the spotlight for a day or two each, sharing their stories, products and passion with thousands of showgoers.
Whether you’re looking to stock up, discover something new, or simply support homegrown talent, Taste SA is where you’ll want to be.
Entertainment for all

Entertainment is going to be in abundance too, as Gluttony is bringing back its Boulevard Stage, with live music, comedy, dance, theatre, and more. And to celebrate the Show’s 100 years at Wayville, the Goyder Stage will come to life with special events, including a live appearance by Gregory and Claudia from Antiques Down Under, and SA favourites Keith Conlon and Leigh Radford will be looking back at a century of iconic moments at the Showground.
Bluey is returning with triple the fun, performing a brand-new show twice daily for seven days. Peppa Pig is back to delight little fans, and George the Farmer will be on deck to educate and entertain with three daily performances over the full nine days, combining music and agricultural expertise.
Plus, G’Day Adventure! “A South Aussie Road Trip” will take audiences on a musical journey across the state, packed with sing-alongs, colour, and infectious energy.
Get Competitive

If getting in the competitive spirit sounds more like your kind of thing, there are new cooking classes like Plain Scones Challenge and all of your baking classics. And there’s a chance for the kids to get involved too, with the ‘Kids Bake with D-Rake’ competition, presented by Drakes Supermarkets. This is perfect for any young chefs!
Wanting to try your hand at something new? Saddle up for the Nova 919 Jodie and Hayesy’s Hobby Horse Challenge and show off your jumping skills, and don’t miss your chance to become the Royal Show’s first-ever hobby horsing champion.
For those who wish to be part of the fun from the sidelines, you can watch the Hobby Horse Challenge on Wednesday, September 3 from 10:30am.
Finish with a bang

When the sun goes down, the Southern Lights Spectacular, presented by Drakes Supermarkets, will transform the Adelaide Showground with a narrated sound-and-light show to celebrate the 100 years of the Adelaide Showground. This special extended display will run every night for 30 minutes, as the perfect conclusion to any day at the show.
