Rug up and head down to Marina Pier for their latest special. Winter Warmers are at the forefront of the restaurants by the Pier and it’s guaranteed to warm your tastebuds.
From a warm seafood chowder to a traditionally made hot pot, there’s something for everyone.
We’ve compiled a list of what each restaurant is offering, and with all these, we recommend booking in advance.
With no further ado:
ASIAN FLAVOUR HOUSE
Feast on this Winter Warmer Banquet for $55 per person. The banquet includes, Edamame, Lamb Gyoza or Swiss Chicken Wings for entree, two Main Meals, pick between Braised Pork Belly in Hot Pot, Seafood Casserole, Steamed Scallops or Crispy Beef. Plus, a complementary glass of pinot grigio.
This is valid from August 1 to September 30.
THE WHARF
Warm-up with The Wharf’s Shanks & Shiraz Winter Warmer deal for $32. This includes slow-cooked lamb shanks served with a glass of Woodstock Shiraz. You can also get the perfect winter’s soup, with their house special Seafood Chowder for $26.
OYSTER BAR
There’s a lot on the menu at Oyster Bar this winter! You should try their popular Salt & Pepper Squid served with Aioli – it’s a crowd favourite. Another special that is guaranteed to tantalise your tastebuds is their fresh oysters topped with chorizo puttanesca and the Texas pork belly sandwiches – BBQ glazed pork belly strips with toasted ciabatta and slaw. Positively yum.
VELOCE PANINOTECA
Breakfast with a view! You cannot go wrong with a smashed avo with egg, served with a warm coffee on a cold winter’s morning. Not a smashed avo fan? That’s okay! Veloce has plenty of other options to choose from, expect waffles, focaccias, cakes and much more.
SEAFIRE ON THE MARINA
Nothing beats slow-cooked beef cheeks on a cold winter’s evening. Check out Seafire’s Winter Warmer ‘Cheeky Grenache’ offering which includes; 48hr slow-cooked beef cheeks served with a blackberry jus, blackberry gel, sautéed spinach, sweet potato puree and crispy leek. Accompanied by a glass of Yalumba Vine Vale Grenache for $49. Don’t mind if we do.
TOMIKO JAPANESE STEAK HOUSE
When it comes to a Teppanyaki experience at Tomiko Japanese Steak House, just sit back and watch their expert chef’s prepare and cook fresh, flavorful Japanese cuisine in front of you and your guests – guaranteed to keep you warm.
SAMMY’S ON THE MARINA
Enjoy fresh, tasty and healthy seafood cuisine with a breath-taking 270° view of both the beach and the Marina, if you’re lucky you might even spot some dolphins! Sammy’s Winter Warmer special is a 3-course meal with a glass of house wine for $69.90.
SUNSET BAR
Sunset Bar have LIVE music every Friday, Saturday from 7pm and Sunday from 4pm! This spot is perfect for a catch up with mates and serves unbelievable views of the sun setting over Glenelg.
