Prepare to be thoroughly spooked!
If you love to celebrate Halloween with more of a particularly spooky flare than the average Halloween party, we would like to direct your attention to the Port Adelaide Ghost Crime Tour.
This is not for the faint of heart. Guests will spend Halloween night in Port Adelaide and hear tales of crimes and murders, of ghosts and hauntings and some of the more colourful history from an area that dates back to the beginning of settlement in this state.
To fully embrace the holiday, they even encourage you to dress up in your best scary get-up. There will be prizes for best dressed costume on the night and trick or treat bags available for the kids.
Port Adelaide is one of the oldest suburbs in Adelaide, with a nickname of ‘Port Misery’, it was effectively founded on January the 6th, 1837 and since then, has been home to countless murders and ghost sightings. Our Port Adelaide Ghost Tour will take you to some of the most haunted buildings in the Port today.
Hear the tale of ‘Jasper’ the Police Constable that is still on patrol at night, and see the Hotel that has the ghost of the former Madam when it was a brothel back in 1909. You will hear about the Russian sailor, that was brutally kicked to death on Todd Street and his suspected Ghost that has been sighted wandering a basement looking for his mates.
The organisers behind this event are the experts of all things spooky. They offer all kinds of scare Adelaide-based tours all year round, and they even run Psychic Fairs at the Old Adelaide Gaol. What a fright!
The tour will kick off at 7.15pm on Halloween, October 31.
