‘YOUR SHOT’ is back for 2014, continuing its quest across the east coast of Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane), to find Australia’s next top DJ. The winner’s will not only get to play international DJ sets at either:
Snowbombing (Austria), BPM (Mexico) or Sound LA(USA). They will also become stars locally, with their own sets at Stereosonic 2014. If this is not enough to set these guys and girls on the path to stardom, this year the world’s biggest DJ Tiësto is on board to give one on one mentoring to each of the crowned state winners.

About Your Shot:
Now in it’s fifth season, ‘YOUR SHOT’ – a competition unlike any other, offers young guys and girls a shot at the big time – to become DJs capable of playing at the best clubs and festivals all over Australia – and the best part – no DJ experience is necessary to enter. With 6 weeks full DJ training provided, each contestant will learn the basic skills behind DJ’ing, it truly is a life changing experience.
‘YOUR SHOT’ 2013 saw crowds of over 10,000 attend the state events, causing registrations to close early (a whopping 6,500+ applications received in less than 3 weeks – more than X Factor and Australian Idol).
In 2014 ‘YOUR SHOT’ will take 76 new contestants from each state and put them through a 6 week full DJ training course from DJ Warehouse. Once armed with the skills, they will perform a set at a two day ‘YOUR SHOT’ event in their state. The ‘YOUR SHOT’ event will showcase some of the best headline and resident DJs from Australia, as well as the best in up-and-coming talent. With around the clock sets from all DJ hopefuls, each contestant will give it their all, in the hope of taking home the title of ‘YOUR SHOT’ champion, along with a host of life changing prizes of an unprecedented scale.

Do you have DJ experience, but can’t break it into the industry? ‘YOUR SHOT’ will again host the Alize ‘Wild Card’ – a competition for DJs with a minimum of 12 months experience. Wild Card winners will also take to the stage atStereosonic and play at THE hottest club in Europe ‘Paradise Club’ in Mykonos, plus there is an Alize sponsorship and a management contract from 360 Agency up for grabs.
