Your Spring Time Brunch & Bar Hit List

Did someone order a fresh round of new places to visit?

For those of us who are slightly obsessed with brunch and bars (thanks Instagram), spring just got better with a number of new names to add to the hit list:

Karma and Crow – 251 Richmond Rd
Just west of the city and tucked away in Richmond, Karma and Crow is the reincarnation of a construction site and fruit of the labour of Janie Kammer and Alana Crowe.

A utopia for coffee lovers and creatives alike, there is bountiful space to stretch out, headphones in, and smash out some work. (Or if you’re like us, smash the eggs benedict with beetroot hollandaise).

Head chef Katrina Richard specialises in breakfast and desserts and has created some truly delightful combinations. Complete with beautiful studio spaces for lease with high ceilings and an abundance of natural light, Karma and Crow has unlimited potential.

Fairweather – 15 Solomon St (Coming Soon!)
A brand spanking new inner-city cafè is set to open next week on Solomon Street in the heart of the CBD, wedged neatly between Hindley Street and Currie Street. Adding to the now bustling West end cafè life, Fair Weather is one to keep your eyes peeled for…

Alfred’s Bar – 14 Peel St
Sometimes it’s damn near impossible to get out of bed before the sun is well into the sky. Whether you run on hospitality hours or are a full-time working guru, the time is ripe to skip brunch all together and head on down to Peel Street’s newest self described ‘local watering hole’.

Alfred’s has settled into Barbushka’s previous space, with a polished fit out and an air of comfort and familiarity. A dartboard is among the fixtures upstairs, providing a brilliantly simple form of entertainment.

Proof Laneway Rooms – 9A Anster St
Just a skip hop and a jump from the Leigh Street and Peel Street precinct, Proof Laneway Rooms’ best kept secret is a beautifully lit open-air terrace, where the champagne never stops flowing.

As a sibling of many Adelaide hospitality honour roll names, (such as Press*Food and Wine, Melt, Osteria Oggi and Maybe Mae) Proof does not disappoint.

Celebrating drops from our very own enviable wine region, to the vineyards of Beaujolais, Proof sets the bar high and allows you your own little corner of the CBD to unwind and indulge.

We don’t need an excuse. Do you?

Serving from 4pm.
