15 April | FRIDAY
It’s not often you find something open on Good Friday let alone something as fun as this! The Bottomless Brunch guru’s at Banksia Tree in Port Adelaide are putting on another one on a day we all have off so there’s no excuses! First held in 1997, The Meadows Easter Fair has become a staple of Easter celebrations in Adelaide. This years event welcomes over 140 specialty stalls, including gourmet produce, food, craft, plants, books, treasures and more. The fair is open 9-4 each day of the Easter Long Weekend and is the perfect way to entertain the kids. Don’t worry there will be entertainment for adults too, with Ginny Pig Distillery’s ‘Hot X Bun Gin’ on tasting and for sale!

Traditionally known as Australia’s best picnic race meeting, the Oakbank Easter Racing Carnival is set amongst the scenic hills and offers families and racegoers a one-of-a-kind racing experience where you can bring your own picnic baskets, rugs, deck chairs, BYO beverages and barbecues to kick off your Easter long weekend in style and relaxation. This event has a lot of off the track entertainment, including ‘Fashion at the Races’ competition, live music, on-site car parking and kids’ entertainment including sporting and craft activities, face painting, jumping castles and animal petting zoos.

Amigos, get ready to dance the night away Easter Sunday at one of Adelaide’s most iconic and award-winning live music and dance venues, The Gov. Get your adrenaline pumping down in Semaphore this long weekend at the Easter Coastal Bunny Run. Kicking off on at 6:30am Easter Sunday, the run is between 10km, 21.1km and 42.2km in distance (depending on the distance you nominate). Early bird prices to register are still available, and participants are encouraged to ‘bunny up’ and get into the Easter spirit. A trophy will be awarded at the completion of all running events, however, the most important aspect of this event is the money that will be raised for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation, as part of the proceeds will be donated #endcancer.
