Zac Efron, Taylor Schilling and Academy Award-nominated writer/director Scott Hicks add Adelaide to their Australian tour in April in support of their new romantic drama "The Lucky One"!
In a massive coup for Adelaide, home town of director Scott Hicks, the hectic schedules of the touring party have been re-arranged to add Adelaide to the Australian tour for Hicks’ upcoming motion picture “The Lucky One.” The highly anticipated tour will also touch down in Melbourne and Sydney for world premiere.
This visit to Adelaide is highly significant to Hicks and his wife, co-producer Kerry Heysen-Hicks, for many reasons, not least of which is that much of the film’s editing and post production was completed in South Australia. To this end, the couple worked with Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures to bring the tour to Adelaide.
A red carpet premiere will be held on Thursday, 12 April, at Event Cinemas, Westfield Marion, with the three special guests in attendance.
Based on Nicholas Sparks’ bestseller The Lucky One, Zac Efron (“17 Again,” “Charlie St. Cloud”) stars alongside Taylor Schilling (upcoming “Argo”) and Blythe Danner (“Meet the Parents” franchise) in this romantic drama directed by Academy Award-nominated writer/director Scott Hicks (“Shine,” “No Reservations”).
U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Efron) returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive—a photograph he found of a woman he doesn’t even know. Learning her name is Beth (Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.
THE LUCKY ONE releases in Australian cinemas nationally on 19th April 2012
