Adelaide, your Saturday night plans just got an upgrade. This weekend, Zaffit Unplugged is bringing an evening of style and energy to the city, with their Albanian x Arab night. This is an event that’s pure party, while celebrating tradition.
Zaffit is no stranger to throwing unforgettable events. The Lebanese drumming and entertainment troupe has been a powerhouse in the wedding and events scene for seventeen years. Zaffit Unplugged is their latest project, which is a live experience that invites musicians from all over Australia to join forces with the Zaffit crew for cross-cultural nights of music and movement.
At the heart of the business is the mother-son duo, Rania and Christian Zakhour. Rania, the founder and creative force behind Zaffit, has long had a vision of sharing Lebanese culture through music and dance. With her son Christian now working alongside her, that vision has evolved into something bigger, bolder, and louder. Zaffit are known for hosting these nights that feel like the best parts of a wedding and a live gig rolled into one.
“We like to do things that are different, that haven’t been done before. We want everyone to be able to enjoy drums, music, and really get to feel what we like to do,” shared Rania.
“The first nights were so successful and we feel like it brings something different to the Adelaide nightlife. It’s a collision of cultures that you don’t find in other clubs.
“It’s about giving people a taste of what we do inside intimate private events. Zaffit Unplugged is exactly that, but for Adelaide to enjoy!”
This Saturday’s Albanian x Arab edition is the first of its kind in Australia, combining two musical cultures under one roof. Expect epic live drumming, traditional instrumentation, contemporary beats, and an unbeatable dancefloor. It’s a celebration of unity and music, a perfect snapshot of what makes Adelaide’s multicultural scene so special.
Previous Zaffit Unplugged nights have drawn huge crowds across Adelaide, and this one’s expected to be no different.
Chris shared, “We like to be innovative and do things that haven’t been done before. Zaffit Unplugged is the leader in these cultural club nights – an Albanian/Arab night has never been done before.
“We want everyone to have the Zaffit experience.”
