ZARA Plus 28 Other Retailers Confirmed For Burnside Village

Burnside Village is set to become South Australia’s shopping capital following the joint announcement today by the Cohen Group of Companies and Colliers International that it has secured the large international fashion powerhouse brand ZARA as anchor tenant for the centre’s new stage 3 development.

The Spanish clothing and accessories retailer will be housed in a huge 2,300m², 2-storey store, with an internal glass lift and a mezzanine level overlooking the 12 metre wide main mall, allowing for magnificent views of the worlds first indoor River Red Gum. The store’s design is based on the recently opened ZARA store on Fifth Avenue in New York.

Alongside ZARA’s third store in Australia, new stores to Burnside Village include sass & bide, Karen Millen, Seed, FCUK, Mimco, Thurley, Oroton, Husk, Saba, Rodd & Gunn, Pandora, Coast UK, Oxford, Metalicus, Forever New and Kikki.K plus many more exciting brands.

In November, the Cohen Group will unveil Burnside Village’s new $100 million development. It will add 7,300m²to Burnside Village and increase their parking to 1,156, taking the centre to 120 shops, and more than 20,000m²of retail space. The centrepiece of the new retail space will be the spectacular 21 metre curved glass roof, covering an 18 metre high 100-year-old River Red Gum.

A new restaurant precinct will offer a combination of relaxed alfresco and contemporary dining, and will open late.

“Our team, together with Brookfield Multiplex as construction and project managers will complete this centre by end October 2011. We will officially launch the centre with a red carpet opening gala in November 2011” said Lyn Gray, Cohen Group Retail General Manager
