ZARA is set to elevate the shopping experience to new heights with a major refurbishment and expansion at their Burnside store, set to commence in June.
The bad news is the store will be closed for several months, but fear not with the grand reopening slated for mid-October 2024. The temporary closure of the ZARA Burnside store will undoubtedly be a small price to pay for what promises to be a remarkable transformation. The refurbishment will modernise the facilities and offer patrons an elevated store experience, complete with an expanded range of ZARA’s iconic collections for women, men, and children, along with accessories and perfumes.
This expansion is a strategic move in alignment with Burnside Village’s Stage Six expansion project, set to debut in March 2025. As part of this endeavour, the Centre is set to double its size, introducing a new premium mall boasting dedicated dining options, home, youth fashion, health, and lifestyle precincts.

Bruce Carter, AO, Chairman of Cohen Group, emphasised the significance of the partnership, highlighting the long-standing commitment to supporting retailers. “The Burnside Village expansion marks a significant milestone as the largest private sector retail property expansion in South Australia,” Bruce said.
Jose Ignacio Nievas Andres, Managing Director of Inditex for ZARA, echoed this sentiment, expressing pride in their 13-year journey at Burnside Village. “Our Burnside Village store will be the first in Australia, and one of the first in the Southern Hemisphere, to be updated with our latest best-in-class Couture/Atelier store layout,” Jose said.
