SA Health has recorded zero new cases of COVID-19 today.
Premier Steven Marshall yesterday announced a massive lift of COVID restrictions will come into play on Monday 14 December.
These include:
- From Monday, patrons may stand up and drink in licensed premises in SA.
- The number of people allowed at private gatherings will increase to 50 people.
- The number of guests permitted at gatherings such as weddings and funerals will increase to 200.
There are still 33 cases linked to the Parafield cluster, and roughly 186 close contacts, or contacts of close contacts in quarantine relating to the cluster.
There are currently zero active cases.
There have been a total of 562 cases notified in South Australia since the pandemic began.
2,742 tests were carried out yesterday, bringing the total test count in the state to 759,345.
SA Health is still urging anyone with symptoms to be tested on the day those symptoms appear.
Symptoms include:
- Fever or chills (in the absence of an alternative illness that explains these symptoms)
- An acute respiratory infection e.g. cough, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath
- Loss of smell or alteration in the sense of taste
