Adelaide Duo Lovers Electric Named The New Face of Casio

Coinciding with this week’s release of their new single 'Love Can Save Us',
Adelaide band Lovers Electric – husband and wife David Turley and Eden
Boucher – are also being unveiled as the faces of iconic electronic musical brand
Casio’s new range of keyboards and digital pianos in Australia.

The new partnership will see the duo used in an in-store promotional campaign
for JB Hi Fi stores and as roving brand ambassadors. JB Hi-Fi introduced musical
instruments to their stores nationwide only weeks ago, making them the sole
chain in Australia to now offer recorded music and musical instruments under the
same roof.

The partnership came about after Casio executives spotted David  performing on one of their own instruments – an older model keyboard that he had been loyally playing on for years. Like Casio keyboards, David and Eden were born in the 80s and each has fond memories of the brand stretching back to childhood.

'I grew up with Casio’s, my sisters and I wrote many of our first songs on our little Casio, sitting in our motor home,' says Eden. 'It was like having an entire band in one instrument, perfect for the travelling musical family.'

Continues David, 'We now have a vintage Casio that has travelled the world with us. I remember us being in this vacant house in New York that we were housesitting with literally nothing but a guitar and the Casio, writing songs from the new album'

The alignment in market appeal between the Casio brand and Lovers Electric is strong, both appealing to a youthful, artistic market. Amongst crowds like Lovers Electric’s trendy fan base, the Casio brand enjoys widespread popularity thanks to its affordability and versatility.
