Adelaide fans of soaring harmonies and Irish classics have a big date to add to the calendar, with Celtic Thunder officially announcing its return to South Australia in 2027.
Following the success of the group’s last Australian tour, Celtic Thunder will head back Down Under for an extensive national run next March and April, including a performance at Adelaide’s Her Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday, March 25.
The Celtic Thunder Adelaide concert forms part of a 15-date tour taking the much-loved performers to cities across the country, beginning in Canberra on March 17 before wrapping up in Caloundra on April 6.
For longtime fans, the new tour will be a chance to revisit the songs and performances that have helped build Celtic Thunder’s international following over the years.
The show will feature a hand-picked collection of the group’s most-loved music, spanning traditional Irish classics, powerful ballads and the big anthems that have become synonymous with their live performances.
With the group’s distinctive vocals and layered harmonies again at the centre of the show, the tour has been designed as a celebration of Celtic Thunder’s history and its connection with the audiences who have followed the performers throughout their career.
Longtime Celtic Thunder principal Damian McGinty said the group wanted the latest Australian tour to feel particularly personal for fans.
“We wanted to create something truly special for our fans, something that feels personal and celebratory,” Damian said.
“This show is about reconnecting – with the music, with each other, and with the people who have supported us throughout the years. It’s a chance to relive the magic of Celtic Thunder in a more intimate way, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this experience with our audience.”
Adelaide will be one of several stops on the national tour, alongside Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Penrith, Perth, Warrnambool, Ballarat, Frankston, Melbourne, Geelong, Hobart, the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Caloundra.
The Adelaide performance will take place at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday, March 25, 2027.
