SINCERELY, GRIZZLY have established themselves as one of the premier bands in Adelaide.

Last year saw them tour nationally with American alt-rock legends, And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, embark on three headlining national tours of their own, share the stage with the likes of The Presidents of The United States of America, Bob Mould, Japandroids, Birds of Tokyo, The Medics and Violent Soho. They’ve played St Jerome’s, Bigsound and Big Day Out and have packed out various EP releases over a number of years.

Recorded at Hothouse Audio in Melbourne (Children Collide, Something For Kate), the band’s upcoming album, Halves, is the bands’ attempt to understand and reconcile musical, personal and philosophical . The first single of the album, Us; or Optimism, finds the trio maintaining their trademark combination of time signature changes while walking an emotional tightrope, balancing on a line somewhere between an American high school football movie and a wake.
The follow up single Kafkaesque is a nine minute opus that’s equally tumultuous, exciting, schizophrenic and emotionally formidable as vocalist Josh Calligeros unashamedly puts it all on the table, inviting the listener to share in his spite filled musings and angsty revelations. The result is something that’s bittersweet, philosophical, and intensely real. http://www.gunfever.com.au/artists/sincerely-grizzly

ANGELS OF GUNG-HO. Since their sold out ‘Fire in the Sea’ EP launch, psychedelic rockers Angels of Gung-Ho have rapidly built a strong following, establishing themselves as one of the best rock and roll acts in South Australia. Led by singer Dusty Lee, also of the Valkyries, the act has enjoyed a huge groundswell of support from rock fans across Adelaide, culminating in them being handpicked to support The Superjesus on their reunion shows at iconic venues The Gov and Melbourne’s The Espy, as well as a stack of other big name supports. It goes without saying that can’t wait for these chaps to tear up the stage.

“Angels Of Gung Ho were indicative of some of the great talent coming out of Adelaide… Definitely a quality act that will continue to gain more attention once the word spreads.” – Rip It Up

“Angels of Gung-Ho were bloody awesome, an explosive combo of electrified Bluesy Rock and good old Psychedelica” – The AU Review

“Beginning the night was a brilliant choice for support, ‘The Angels Of Gung-Ho’. These guys showed an impressive maturity for a relatively new band and I loved every minute of their performance.” – Australian Musicians Network

PALACE OF THE KING (Vic)

Palace of the King are a raucous blues and infused rock and roll act from Melbourne. Earning a fantastic reputation for blistering live shows in their home city, this six piece act features notable alumni: Tim Henwood from Superjesus, The Androids and Rogue Traders with Anthony Troiano from Neon on sticks. Following their self-titled EP launch in mid 2013, they’ve toured Australia with Airborne and have developed a cult following in Melbourne with appearances at a bunch of iconic rock bars. History means nothing however, as altogether these cats put together one hell of a live show. We can’t wait for them to put on one huge killer set. http://palaceofthekingmusic.com/

THE SCARLET IVES are an indie rock act from Adelaide, South Australia with strong dream pop, surf pop and shoe gaze influences. With airplay on major and community stations and a packed out album launch, the band’s latest work shows a more melodic 60’s and 70’s influence, with warmer, more well rounded material. They’ve played with nationally renowned acts The Preatures, Kirin J Callinan, Big Scary, The Panda Band, Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! and the Red Paintings.

This is so lovely. I really like where you’re headed with this. Think you should keep driving the road you’re driving. (which is to say I think you’re on a good thing)…

FIRS. Alister Douglas is a man of many talents. Former multi-instrumentalist of 20th Century Graduates and a current member of popular jazz-indie quartet Alphabette, Firs is his chance to shine as a brilliant composer and a songwriter, albeit from a more electronica bent. With shades of M83, The Postal Service and a weary New Order, Firs is heart-wrenchingly honest electronic-pop with a soft heart. The melodies are clear and the hooks linger on and on. Firs is easily one of the most exciting talents in SA at the moment and definitely one to get in early for.
