For sweet tooths in Adelaide’s north, a new go-to for gelato runs, coffee catch-ups and late-night desserts is on the way, with St Louis preparing to open at The Palms Shopping Village later this year.
The dessert favourite will bring its signature churros, crepes, cakes and indulgent sweet treats to the centre, alongside coffees, pastries and plenty of reasons to stay from morning through to late night.
And while the menu will be packed with old classics, the store will look a little different.

The store arrives just as the Adelaide-born brand rolls out a fresh new look, complete with a new logo, reimagined colour palette and a cleaner, more contemporary feel. St Louis’ marketing manager Allison Schwarz says the Palms location will bring that new direction to life.
“We’re bringing the brand more in line with where we see ourselves now and where we see ourselves going in the future,” Allison said.
While St Louis originally leaned into the feel of an indulgent Parisian dessert bar, the brand has grown well beyond it’s original concept, and its new look is designed to reflect that.
“It’s very modern, very sleek and appeals to everyone, whether you’re a kid going after school for a gelato or retired and looking for a lovely morning coffee in the mid-afternoon.”
While development is still in its early stages, the team is currently working with an interior designer on the fit-out, which Allison describes as “very clean, very funky, very cool.”

But, of course, the menu will still be firmly focused on indulgence.
You may find yourself dropping for morning coffees, South Australian-made cakes and pastries, alongside artisan-made gelato, churros and crepes more often than you’d like to admit.
“If you’re on a diet, this is probably not your place to go,” Allison joked.
And there’s one iconic St Louis menu item Allison is particularly excited to bring to the venue.
“Our hot chocolate is the best hot chocolate.”
The announcement has already sparked plenty of excitement online, with locals quick to welcome the new addition to the centre.
“There’s lots of buzz around it. We’re really excited to continue our expansion up north.”
Michelle Higgins, Walker Head of Asset Management, said the brand felt like a natural fit for Riverlea.

“St. Louis has a prime corner location in the outdoor plaza which will be pumping this summer as all our food and beverage retailers open.”
“We can’t wait to see the outdoor plaza come alive with people enjoying churros and gelato, sharing a crepe or catching up over coffee and dessert.”
It marks another step in St Louis’ growth across Adelaide, while giving northern suburbs locals their own taste of the brand’s newly refreshed era.
