Cook a festive barbecue feast at Weber Grill Academy’s Christmas in July events

Two barbecue masterclasses are available for keen grillers this July, where everything from the turkey to a pavlova will be expertly cooked on a Weber Grill.

If there’s one thing Aussies take serious pride in, it’s a great barbecue.

During the chillier months however, families across the country often experience a grill drought, with barbecue tongs gathering a layer of dust until temperatures start to creep back up later in the year.

Rose Park’s legendary Weber Grill Academy is inviting barbecue connoisseurs and grilling novices like to join forces this winter, picking up their tools for a barbecue event with a twist, where EVERY element of a festive feast will be expertly cooked on the Weber (even dessert) and enjoyed in their stunning city-fringe venue.

The only Academy of its kind in Australia, Weber Grill Academy is running two festive Christmas in July barbecue classes for those that want to treat themselves, or give the generous gift of grilling to a partner, friend or colleague.

A succulent roast turkey with all the trimmings, crackling roast pork, juicy grilled prawns and a delicious baked pavlova will all be expertly cooked on the Weber, with their team of barbecue experts on hand to guide you through the expert grilling session. The Christmas spirit will also be in full flow, with a great selection of South Australian beers, wines and non-alcoholic beverages provided for that all-important festive cheer.

Ideal for those who want to perfect their Christmas cooking prowess or learn a skill on the grill, the barbecue masterclasses are a great way to spend a few hours with delicious food, drinks and good company, especially during the colder months.

Each barbecue class, running on July 19 and July 24 will run for three hours, including dining time, setting barbecuers back $169pp.

Alternatively, for those researching a mid-year work do to truly fire up your team, Weber Grill Academy also offer private events for workplaces, accommodating a range of function sizes up to as many as 120 keen grillers.

While this is the debut Grill Academy in Australia, Weber has been one of the world’s premiere manufacturers of barbecues for over 70 years, across charcoal, gas and electric grills. They also boast over 100 Weber Grill Academies in nearly 70 countries worldwide.

In Australia, the barbecue bosses even have roots in Adelaide with founder Ross McDonald bringing the Weber brand and product to Australia, revolutionising the art of grilling and introducing the country to ‘lid down barbecuing’ in 1978.

The Weber Grill Academy has a perfectly situated city-fringe location which features an impressive third-floor all-weather balcony that provides 120sqm of top-tier grilling space and city views, decked out with the full range of Weber barbecues.
