The lineup for Heaps Good Festival has officially dropped, and it is set to return bigger and better following its debut in Adelaide earlier this year.
The one-day summer festival is now spreading its wings, preparing to head to Melbourne, Sandstone Point, and, of course, its birthplace, Adelaide.
Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl will host the event on New Year’s Eve, then on January 2nd, it moves to Sandstone Point before concluding its run at the Adelaide Showground on January 6th. All three shows will be single-day events in easy to access locations and an awesome crew is coming along for the ride.
Headlining the festival is Flume, a household name in electronic music. A decade since his genre-defining self-titled debut album, he’s now an industry titan with a Grammy, billions of streams, and accolades galore. Ready to rock the stage alongside Flume are British sensations Foals, known not just for their chart-topping records but also for headlining major festivals like Glastonbury. Add to that mix, The Avalanches, who have released cult famous mixtapes and records and performed at some of the biggest festivals in the world, are also bringing their raucous live show to Heaps Good.
But wait, there’s more. In Adelaide and Queensland, Declan McKenna will bring his his euphoric set and feel-good tunes, new queen of British pop Griff will impress with her accomplished live show, and the inimitable Holly Humberstone will further elevate the musical journey with her bare-all storytelling in tow.
Critically-acclaimed SBTRKT, with tracks from his latest release ‘The Rat Road’, will hit the stage in Victoria and Queensland, Melbourne will groove to the legendary beats of Basement Jaxx.
Homegrown hero MAY-A is coming in hot off the release of her sophomore EP Analysis Paralysis which dropped earlier this month and First Nations artist Sycco will bring her pop-driven, psych-infused, dance-inducing electronica to the stage. Plus, Logan, a rising talent, will kick off the event at all three locations.
For those attending in Adelaide, there’s an added bonus. The Sound Archive, a dedicated dance stage, is making a comeback, which features bespoke design, top-tier production and an endless rhythm provided by a stacked lineup of renowned electronic acts such as one of the most dominant forces in electronic music today Mall Grab, Galway’s KETTAMA, standout DJ salute and Sydney born, Berlin based producer Logic1000.
