Puzzle lovers and jigsaw addicts, your go-to shop has moved to a new CBD location.
Games World has set up shop on Gawler Place, moving on from its previous Adelaide Arcade location. After a delayed opening, the store officially opened its doors to the public last week.
Games World owner Dan Johnson says the move was necessary for the growing business, but it’s also bittersweet.
“It’s time for a slightly bigger store so we can build on the ranges of jigsaws and game brands,” he says.
“We’re sad to leave the Arcade, though. We’ve been there for so long.”
Gawler Place became the home of Games World’s fourth South Australian store, with the first opening in Tea Tree Plaza 21 years ago, and the Westfield Marion and West Lakes spots following that.
The store is best known for its board games and jigsaws, so Gawler Place should prepare for chess, checkers, backgammon, Dominoes, Pokemon, Dungeons and Dragons games, card games, and much more. They also have many themed games––such as Rick and Morty, Harry Pottery, and Peaky Blinders––various puzzles, thinking games, and science construction kits. Due to the larger size of the new venue, the store also has a corner dedicated just to STEM kits.
For all of your gaming needs, keep your eye out on the Games World Facebook page.
