After decades of dressing Adelaide women, Mon Ami is bringing a fresh, fashion-forward approach to spring and summer occasionwear.
The independently owned Glynde boutique has been dressing Adelaide women since 1974, building a loyal following among women for beautifully made pieces for the events that matter.
It’s part of the reason Mon Ami has become a trusted spot for everything from mother of the bride and wedding guest outfits to galas, black tie events and spring racing.
And rather than filling the racks with volume from one or two brands, Mon Ami carefully curates pieces across a range of labels, including Joseph Ribkoff, Sacha Drake and Trellis Lane, giving women plenty of choice without feeling like they’ll walk into an event wearing the same dress as somebody else.
A newer addition to the line-up, Elliatt brings a fresh, contemporary edge to the Glynde boutique, widening the collection for women looking for something a little different for their next occasion.
At the heart of Mon Ami is helping women dress for the moments that matter, whether that’s as mother of the bride, for a spring race day or another special event, with polished occasionwear that feels sophisticated without sacrificing comfort.
But when the wedding invitations, engagement parties and spring events start rolling in and you’re not quite sure where to begin, this is where Mon Ami does the heavy lifting.
Co-owners Josie and Christine, along with the team, take the time to find the right piece, the right fit and the right look for whatever occasion is coming up.
“Our customers come to us with a calendar of occasions ahead of them, and we help them find an outfit for each event,” Josie shared.
That could mean finding one look for the wedding itself, then something completely different for the bridal shower, hen’s celebration, gala dinner or another event that calls for something a little more special than the everyday dress.
The styling is really at the heart of the boutique.
The team works closely with customers to find pieces that are polished, comfortable and suited to their personal style, while also considering fit, colour and the dress code for each occasion.
“For many women, it’s also about moving away from throwaway fashion and finding beautifully made pieces that fit properly, feel like them and can stay in the wardrobe well beyond one occasion.”
There is a local connection on the racks too, with Adelaide designer Catherine Ferraro stocked at the boutique.
Her gala and black tie pieces bring together an Adelaide designer and an independently owned Adelaide store, giving women another local option when the dress code calls for something special.
