Home of bottomless brunches and live music, neighbourhood gem Fleet Street Social announced on Sunday that they were closing their doors for the final time that day.

The closure marks the end of a venue that helped activate Saltfleet Street’s growing hospitality scene, a hotspot for casual dinners, live music, and weekend celebrations.

In a post made to social media, the owners said the decision had been made with a “heavy heart”.

“We want to thank everyone for their support and a huge thank you to the staff of Fleet Street who have made this place what it is today,” the post read.

“It has been a great four years but all good things must come to an end”.

Amassing over 700 likes, the announcement was met with an outpouring of support from locals, many of whom expressed sadness at the loss of the beloved community space.

“So sorry to hear this guys! You’ll be missed, amazing business and people,” one commenter wrote.

“RIP to the bottomless brunch and the shenanigans that followed,” another said.

“So sad! I recently had a girlie day out with my besties there, and your food was amazing, we loved the cocktails. Going to seriously miss y’all :(“.

First opening four years ago, the Port Noarlunga eatery quickly attracted the attention of locals with its pink retro layout and bright interior, fast becoming a favourite in the area.

Since then, it has carved out a niche as a community hub in Port Noarlunga, drawing everyone from young families and coffee catch-ups to brunch groups and cocktail lovers.

Alongside its extensive drinks list and bottomless brunches, the venue became known for its playful menu items, such as its cheeseburger spring rolls and weekly events like $1 Wing It Thursdays.

One of their most popular events was the Friday Mum Club, where parents could grab discounted coffees and breakfast while kids ate free.

Although closed for now, there is hope for the space with the owners confirming the business and venue have been placed on the market.

Fleet Street Social co-founder Adam McGuiness also continues to operate Lenny’s Bagel Deli & Coffee, which was opened in the nearby suburb of Hove in 2024.

Lenny’s Bagels offers a range of menu options from a classic salmon, cream cheese and capers option to a Reuben bagel and a vegetarian pickled vegetable, and the bagels are all made fresh in-store.

For now, Fleet Street Social joins a growing list of much-loved South Australian hospitality venues to close their doors in recent years.

But with the site now on the market, locals will be watching closely to see who takes over the iconic space.
