Rosenvale Vineyards showcase SA artist with two stunning labels

Rosenvale Vineyards are teaming up with South Australian artist Greer Tappert to showcase her work across two gorgeous Tempranillo and Merlot labels.

One of the Barossa’s premium family vignerons and wineries, Rosenvale Vineyards, has taken the leap to connect with the inspiring South Australian art community in providing a blank canvas to showcase one of Adelaide’s up and coming artists, Greer Tappert.

As a vigneron that connects via its vineyards, its varieties and its work with clone selections, Rosenvale’s founder James Rosenzweig builds uniqueness through dynamic farming with each vineyard. Each aspect is a unique spectrum of clone selections, soil profiles, plus the development of new techniques to vine training, it provides winemakers with a comprehensive array of styles, flavours and characters.

As an artist, Greer Tappert’s unique style of work is about setting the seed to inspire. Through her interpretations of mother nature, beautiful creatures, both great and small, she sets out to create connecting pieces to open the mind which is exactly why Rosenvale Vineyards has commissioned two works with Greer for their Tempranillo and Merlot wines.

The Tempranillo – known as their ‘10 bulls’ – symbolises growth and strength as a family tradition of Barossa growers. It represents the journey the Rosenzweig family has endured from settlement in the Barossa as farmers, to viticulturists, and now successful winemakers for the past 10 years. Greer’s artwork details beautifully the bull that symbolises reaching a goal and each of the 10 orbs being parts of the journey to get there.

In addition, to nourish Greer’s passion for ‘giving back’ to the community and Rosenvale Vineyards’ not for profit and charity support, she has started working on a third label for a Mataro release that will be sold to raise money for Izla’s Purple Crusade, a fundraising arm for Epilepsy SA.

The artwork in the Rosenvale Vineyards Cellar Door and Function venue unveiling exclusively displays the artworks of their “Resident Artist” Greer Tappert, giving visitors a unique art experience while overlooking the 1935 planted Rosenvale and the view through into the winery.

The label artworks created by Greer are so stunning you’ll want to keep them once they’re empty!

Both wines are available now exclusively from Rosenvale Cellar Door, and select Adelaide restaurants.

Rosenvale’s Cellar Door is open every Saturday from 11am till 4pm.
