New memorials, school displays, regional restorations and even a purple poppy rug for a donkey are among 21 South Australian projects to share in an expanded $138,059 Anzac Day Commemoration Fund.
The Anzac Centenary marks 100 years since Australia’s involvement in the First World War. Representatives from State Government, local councils, the Army, Navy and Air Force, Returned Services League, ex-service organisations and local schools will join together to honour the sacrifices of those who have fallen and served in times of war.
