Johnny Di Fransesco, founder of 400 Gradi has added yet another award to his collection, with the recent acceptance of the Best Pizzeria in Oceania for the second year running!
Announced on Wednesday July 24, Di Fransesco proudly received the award in Naples, Italy and stuck around to pick up inspiration from the home of pizza.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to bring the authentic taste of Naples to the mouths of Australians. Staying true to tradition is something I’ll never sacrifice, so being acknowledged by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, still after ten years is such an accomplishment!” says Di Francesco.
Winning this award again is a huge achievement for the legendary pizza maker, who owns stores all around Australia.
His pizzas topped nearly 1000 other choices from Italy and regions around the world. Impressively, the top 50 were determined via secret evaluation!
The Adelaide based store boasts the ‘Home of the World’s Best Pizza’ on their website, which comes as no surprise with their amazing selection of authentic pizza options. On top of this, their delicious menu is comprised of a wide variety of gourmet meals.
From their competitive Napoletana (italian tomato, fior de latte cheese, anchovies, olives and oregano) to more exotic options like Ortolana (Pizza in bianco, fior di latte, zucchini, capsicum, eggplant and onions), 400 Gradi’s award winning tastes are not to be missed.
Besides winning Oceania’s Best Pizzeria, 400 Gradi has also previously won the following:

- 3rd place in Australian Pizza Olympics
