Ready to smell like nobody else?
New fragrance boutique MADDOG has arrived in Adelaide’s CBD, and it’s offering perfume lovers something a little different.
Located in Da Costa Arcade on Grenfell Street, the store is putting a fresh spritz on the traditional perfume shopping experience, with an extensive collection of 90 fragrances to explore, alongside 14 candle fragrances and eight diffuser scents.
But what really sets MADDOG apart is it encourages shoppers to think beyond the usual off-the-shelf fragrances.
“Customers can also experiment with blending different perfumes to create a personalised scent that reflects their individual style,” said MADDOG’s marketing director.
Owner Sina previously operated a similar fragrance business in Perth, but had his sights set on rebuilding the brand from the ground up in Adelaide. After identifying what he saw as a gap in Adelaide’s boutique fragrance market, Sina set his sights on creating something different, with a focus on individuality, creativity and making fragrance a more personal experience.
It’s been a big move for the business owner, who is now working his way back up from the beginning.
And the journey to opening hasn’t been without its challenges.
“Coming back up, climbing that ladder again from absolute zero when you were already off that ladder. It is hard.”
From international shipping delays and coordinating suppliers to fast-tracking orders and completing the store fit-out, the team has been working hard behind the scenes to bring MADDOG to Adelaide.

“We want people to feel like they can create a scent for themselves, something that is truly theirs.”
With the boutique now open, attention is turning to its official grand opening celebration on Saturday, November 14, when Adelaide shoppers will be invited to experience the new space and explore the fragrance collection.
The celebration will include games, raffles, giveaways and special discounts, giving visitors a little extra incentive to pop in and discover their new favourite scent.
And this could be just the beginning for MADDOG in South Australia, with Sina already considering the possibility of additional Adelaide stores.
