The 2025 Adelaide Fringe is just around the corner, and we think we might have found the perfect event to unite the music and sports communities.
Cyclists, drum & bass lovers, and everyone in between will be intrigued to hear about Dom Whiting’s Drum & Bass on the Bike Weekender, slated to take Adelaide by storm for an entire weekend this February.
Whiting, an English DJ and internet sensation, has become a household name in the music world since he started live-streaming his bike ride DJ sets on Facebook a few years ago. His videos gained widespread popularity on social media in 2021, when thousands of other cyclists began joining his rides, transforming a one-man-show into enormous bike raves through the streets of England.
He’s now expanded his rides beyond the UK, taking them across Ireland, Europe, and now Australia. Early last year, he staged his first Australian bike rave in Darwin, and now he’s coming down south to tour the streets of Adelaide as part of the 2025 Fringe.
On Saturday, February 22, the Weekender will officially kick off with a classic Dom Whiting drum & bass bike ride through the streets of Bowden and Brompton from 3pm onwards. Fans are encouraged to bring their bikes along for the highly anticipated cruise along a secret route. And, in typical Whiting fashion, the DJ extraordinaire will be spinning an excellent soundtrack of grooved-up tunes for the entire ride.
Supported by the City of Charles Sturt, the ride costs $10 to enter. Its exact location remains a mystery, however, ticket holders will receive a message with the location 24 hours before the event begins.
And that’s not all. After you’ve finished the ride and taken an hour or two to rest those tired legs, kick-ons are at Lion Arts Factory for a massive drum & bass show headlined by Dom Whiting himself.
Then on Sunday, he’ll be closing out the special weekend with a drum & bass day party at the Lion Arts Centre, performing alongside a strong host of supporting DJs.
You can book each show individually or book a combination. Book all 3 shows: Saturday Ride, Saturday Night Gig & Sunday Day Party in the same transaction to get $10 off.
