One lucky South Australian could be sitting on a life-changing $1 million prize without even knowing it, after a winning Weekday Windfall ticket was sold in Adelaide’s north.
The mystery ticketholder held the only Division One winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4747, drawn on Wednesday, August 26th.
The winning entry was purchased from Topz Shopz Brahma Lodge on Dorothy Street, meaning someone in the Adelaide community could be about to discover a very welcome surprise.
Officials from The Lott are now urging anyone who purchased a Weekday Windfall entry from the Brahma Lodge outlet to check their tickets.
If the winner was a member of The Lott Members Club and had registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their win.
But because this ticket was not registered, the identity of Adelaide’s newest millionaire remains a mystery.
Topz Shopz Brahma Lodge assistant manager Rebecca Schultz said, “We’re hoping the mystery winner makes an appearance soon! It’s very exciting.”
The outlet has previously sold two Division One winning entries, worth $2 million and $13 million respectively, but Schultz said it had been several years since the store had celebrated a win of this size.
“We’ve been telling everyone to check their tickets! One million dollars is life-changing so we can’t wait for the person to realise their good fortune.”
The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre added, “It’s likely this winner is about to go into their weekend as normal with no idea they’re holding a division one winning ticket,” she said.
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Weekday Windfall entry from Topz Shopz Brahma Lodge to check their tickets today.
“Imagine if the ticket that’s sitting in your glove box, tucked in your purse or by your bedside table is worth $1 million!”
The winning numbers from Weekday Windfall draw 4747 were 13, 10, 7, 22, 29 and 9, with supplementary numbers 1 and 24.
There was just one Division One winning entry across Australia in the draw, and it was purchased in South Australia.
The Lott’s Division One tally has now reached 243 winners across Australia so far this calendar year, including 21 South Australian Lotteries customers.
So, if you recently bought a Weekday Windfall ticket from Topz Shopz Brahma Lodge, it might be worth checking your glove box, handbag, wallet or bedside table.
