For the rest of Saturday, Adelaide can expect partly cloudy skies and the chance of morning fog, with a top of 17 degrees. Light winds will become east to southeasterly later in the day, keeping things cool across the metro area. Sunday looks much the same temperature-wise, with a cloudy day ahead and a low of 9 degrees before reaching 17 degrees. Rain is unlikely across the weekend, but the run of grey skies and cool starts will make it feel properly wintry.
By Monday, Adelaide gets a slight lift in temperature, climbing to 20 degrees after another cold 9 degree start. It will stay partly cloudy, though showers are more likely to arrive later in the day and into the evening. Easterly winds are expected to turn northeasterly, which will help push in the next change.
Tuesday is shaping up as the wettest day of the week so far, with showers increasing through the afternoon and evening and a very high chance of rain. Adelaide is forecast to reach 19 degrees after a minimum of 11, with possible rainfall between 1 and 6mm. Northeasterly winds of 20 to 30 km/h will add a brisk edge, especially later in the day.
Conditions stay unsettled on Wednesday, though the wet weather should begin to ease as the day goes on. Showers are most likely during the morning, with the chance of a thunderstorm later in the day. Sunday brings more cold inland starts, with possible morning fog in the southeast and far west, along with areas of frost inland about the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts. Isolated showers are expected about the north and west, and temperatures are generally set to stay below average.
On Monday, showers are expected to become more active through the North East Pastoral and Flinders districts, possibly extending into the Mid North and parts of Eyre Peninsula. In the northeast, rain may set in at times, with possible thunderstorms about the North East Pastoral district. By Tuesday, showers are forecast to extend statewide, with possible thunderstorms about the far west as winds freshen ahead of a southwesterly change. Rainfall totals to the end of Tuesday are mostly expected to stay low across much of the state, but the Pastoral and Flinders districts could see 5 to 15mm, with isolated falls of 15 to 30mm possible in the northeast.
