There are brunches, there are bottomless brunches, and then there are long lunches that start with flowing Moët & Chandon before midday.
Champagne Society is bringing back its sell-out event series this June, and this time, it’s giving the morning-after-the-night-before concept a polished upgrade with Moët Mornings: Bottomless Bubbles & Brunch.
Taking over the Verandah Bar at The Strathmore on June 21, the three-hour event is lavish, with bottomless French Champagne, curated canapés, and a live soundtrack that keeps the afternoon feeling suitably indulgent.
From 11am to 2pm, guests will settle in for free-flowing Moët & Chandon, paired with a brunch-style canapé menu designed to feel more like a long lunch than a standard sitting. DJ Josh will be setting the mood throughout the session.
The menu leans into fresh, savoury bites with a few rich little flourishes along the way. Guests can expect beef tataki with sesame dressing, fried onions and snow pea tendrils, a chicken sandwich with poached chicken, chipotle mayo, pickled onion, lettuce and fried shallots, and a prawn cold roll with fresh herbs.
There’s also heirloom tomato and basil bruschetta with bacon, aged vinegar, whipped burrata and charred sourdough, alongside roasted pumpkin skewers with goat’s cheese, sage and pepita. To finish, the brunch will round out with chocolate and orange mud cake, served with vanilla mascarpone and chocolate crumb.
This is the kind of menu that suits a glass-in-hand afternoon, where it’s generous enough to feel special, and light enough that the Champagne is the star.
Adding a deeper layer to the afternoon, the event will also raise funds for Catherine House, the South Australian organisation supporting women experiencing homelessness. So while Moët Mornings is certainly set to be one of June’s more glamorous brunch dates, it also brings guests together for a cause close to home.
Tickets are $155 per person, including bottomless Moët & Chandon and the canapé brunch. As with Champagne Society’s previous events, this one is expected to sell very quickly.
