Learn about the art and skill of craft beer with Brewniversity at The Curious Squire; James Squire’s home in Adelaide.
The Brewniversity program commenced on Tuesday, 18 June 2013, with the hour long ‘Beer 101’ session, which will run every six weeks at The Curious Squire. For $25 per person, which includes James Squire beer tastings and canapés to match, patrons will have the opportunity to learn about all things craft beer related.
Antony Tropeano; Owner of The Curious Squire and Managing Director of Tropcorp says, “Brewniversity is for true beer enthusiasts who wish to study and expand their beer knowledge.”
“A first for Adelaide, Brewniversity takes ‘beer clubs’ to the next level and provides an opportunity for likeminded beer lovers to connect, interact, and share their passion, with the intent of creating an exclusive rogues club at the end of the course,” says Antony Tropeano.
Lead by craft beer specialist Dean Michael Jackson and The Curious Squire’s very own ‘Beer Captain’ Josh Smith, together they will educate and inform on topics such as-
- Beer history
- Beer ingredients
- Water – the integrity and purity of beer
- Barley – its effect on beer
- Hops – the spice of beer
- Yeast – the life of beers
- The Malster – Malts in Beer
Having launched in December of 2012, The Curious Squire is fast becoming a popular destination for lazy lunches, Friday night knock offs, and weekend antics, with the full range of James Squire craft beers and seasonal brews on tap being a key feature.
