If you’re not heading out of town this upcoming Easter break but still want to unwind and be part of some fun long weekend festivities, grab the family and head down south to Middleton Winery because the popular Front Yard Festival is back in 2024—bigger and better than ever!

Kicking off at 11:30 am on Easter Saturday, March 30th, the Front Yard Family return following a booming comeback in 2023 and invites you to their annual Easter festival—a day filled with music, food, wine, brews and artisan market stalls at the front yard of this picturesque winery/farm.

Front Yard Festival Director Shannon Welk is excited about the return of the festival in 2024 and welcomes both South Aussies and visitors of our festival state to experience the celebration.

‘This year’s festival, we have gone up another level to give locals and visitors something really fun to do over the Easter weekend that they can bring their whole family along to’, says Shannon. ‘Countless hours have gone into making this event a must-do on the Easter calendar for the region, and this is just the tip of the iceberg in where we see this event in 5 years’ time.’

Bringing the party vibes to the Front Yard Festival this year is a lineup of talented musicians, including Brian Ruiz and The Shizzle and The Mac (arguably South Australia’s best Fleetwood Mac tribute act). There’ll also be ABBA Gold for the nostalgic music lovers, Yacht Rock Experience, who will be bringing back the soft rock hits of the 70s and 80s, Adelaide’s premiere funk original artists Dojo Duo, and the ever-talented Ciaram Granger, delivering his unique skills to the Blues and Roots genre.

No long weekend event would be complete without a stack of delicious food options and refreshing bevvies for festivalgoers to dig into, and the Front Yard team has teamed up with various local food trucks, including festival favourite Taco Cartel, Pauli’s Pizzas, Lalalatte Co and more. Keeping with the proudly SA theme of the event, there’ll be frothies from Coopers Brewery, South Ave seltzers and Lake Breeze Wines too.

Chilled pups are invited to be part of the fun, too, with holidaymakers and locals in the South Coast region of the Fleurieu Peninsula invited to bring their pets along to the festival and either stay for the day or make a weekend of it with overnight camping options available over the three-day weekend. Two of the team’s favourite sheep, Kevin and Enid, are also stoked to be making a guest appearance at the festival and welcome friendly pats from the little ones in the family!

The Front Yard Festival is proud to showcase fantastic South Aussie talent, supporting local businesses and community spirit, with this event being a vital fundraising support for the Goolwa Rotary.
