For a show called, HUSH, it’s anything but. There’s LOUD costumes (when they’re on…), LOUD music, and LOUD emotions throughout the entire underground cabaret show.

If you love glamorous drag, grunge burlesque, live singing, or theatrical dance (preferably all of the above), then hopefully you’ll enjoy this show as much as I did.

Throughout the performance, you’re sure to be captivated by award-winning drag sensations Iva Rosebud and Jens Radda, along with the mesmerising burlesque and singing sensation Meg Hickey.

This cabaret extravaganza was a charming, cheeky, thought-provoking, and downright funny experience. The crazy and charismatic Jens Radda, who is a singer, cabaret performer, drag artist and producer, was hilarious throughout!

It’s a sexy vibe fitting with the underground Berlinesque feel that the show starts off with – all three stars come out wrapped in black coats – singing Bad Guy by Billie Eilish.

There were so many fun numbers throughout the show, but if you don’t like nudity, this show probably isn’t for you.

There were a lot of strong storytelling moments within their music, and while the show was definitely fun, there were certain numbers which were quite serious.

Meg Hickey brought raw emotion to the table with her solo about womanhood, which left a sentimental message of “F*** the things that scare you most”. It followed her burlesque number which was as provocative as it was thought provoking. She even made a gripe about uneven boobs, which spoke volumes of her passion for womanhood. Her voice throughout the entire show was very special.

Iva Rosebud who’s a tradie by day and drag by night, also performed a fantastic solo diving into the depths of What Makes A Man A Man. It was a great song, which was cleverly thought out, talking about the masquerades they wear, all while they undressed from their drag costume to become what some would perceive as the “stereotypical” man.

It was a great number before the show’s final song which included the classic I Will Survive by Gloria Gyanor. It was fun, high energy and the perfect send off for the trio.

Of course, I can’t not mention Whisky Falls who was a surprise special guest who thrives off the ever curious and evolving world of cabaret. You can tell that she has been in the industry of dance since 16, with the way she can get the crowd going.

Nineteen Ten was the perfect location for the show with its fun and sexy vibe, though it was a little hard to see the bottom half of the performances (when at times was the punch of the joke).
