The delicious four-course lunch, curated by Chianti, is a perfect retreat for enthusiasts seeking a culinary escape, as you sit back and soak up the award winning estate but also meets those who are preserving the rich legacy of Padthaway Estate, where historic structures date back to 1847.
While the team don’t want to give too much away regarding the menu, guests will indulge in a lobster risotto, followed a beef main that will undoubtedly stun you along with some yummy cheese and dessert.
“We are excited to bring Chianti, an Adelaide Restaurant institution to region for this our first led event, providing our region with a taste of more unique experiences we look forward to creating outside of the unforgettable weddings and special events that Padthaway Estate hosts.” Olivia James, Functions Manager said.
“This lunch is a great opportunity to have a behind the scenes tour of Padthaway Estate, including the Homestead and hear more from Carolyn and David Brown, who have been restoring the buildings and grounds. As the home to award winning Eliza Sparkling and Landaire still wines, this lunch will enable you to enjoy both labels which have been carefully paired with the Chianti menu.” Olivia James said.
Landaire’s David and Carolyn Brown have been growing grapes on their home block in Padthaway since 1997. In 2012 they started to produce their own wine. Landaire took home the 2024 Chardonnay of the Year and the 2024 White Wine of the Year at the Halliday Wine Companion Awards for its 2021 Landaire Chardonnay.
“We really look forward to coming together at Padthaway Estate for a long Sunday lunch following a busy time in the vineyard with vintage only concluding earlier this month,” Carolyn said.
“We also look forward to sharing with you a range of our wines, including our limited 2021 Landaire Chardonnay which pairs really well with seafood.”
And don’t worry about the trek home, guests will be able to check in for a luxurious weekend retreat in the charming 1901 Shearers Quarters. Accommodating up to eight people, this accommodation is priced at $600 per night for a minimum two-night stay. But get in quick, spots are limited!
