Marina Pier is giving Adelaide another reason to head seaside this winter, with the return of its popular Umbrella Lights installation and a packed lineup of dining specials, wine dinners and waterfront events.
Running through to 15 September 2026, the annual display sees 14 illuminated umbrella sculptures suspended throughout the precinct, with glowing white frames.
Now in its fifth year, the seasonal activation has become a winter favourite, encouraging visitors to embrace the cooler months with a massive range of special winter offers from Marina Pier’s restaurants and bars.
“Winter evenings at Marina Pier are filled with sumptuous dining experiences, amplified by the beautiful Umbrella Lights display which adds a radiant ambience to the area,” Marina Pier Marketing Coordinator Mathew Lavelle said.
“Our local business owners warmly welcome visitors to Marina Pier with their special offers and warm hospitality.”
Leading this year’s lineup is Ellenika Ocean Grill, serving up one of winter’s ultimate comfort dishes. Every wednesday, diners can enjoy the restaurant’s house-made moussaka for just $20 – half the regular price. Layered with tender eggplant, potato, seasoned beef ragu and creamy béchamel, it’s the kind of meal best enjoyed with a glass of wine overlooking the marina. For those staying in, Ellenika’s chef-prepared takeaway meals are also available from $16.90, with free delivery on orders over $100.

Italian favourite Luciano’s on the Marina is also bringing winter comfort food, with a weekday pasta and wine lunch special for $35, alongside its generous Italian Table experience – a four-course waterfront feast available for lunch and dinner from Sunday to Friday for $49 per person.
Wine lovers won’t miss out either. Premium steakhouse Seafire on the Marina is teaming up with Glaetzer Wines for an exclusive six-course wine pairing showcasing newly released vintages, Meanwhile, Sammy’s is hosting a five-course dining experience featuring their selection of seafood paired with Mollydooker Wines.
Seafood lovers can also make their way to Junipers on the Marina, whose Paella Thursdays feature the venue’s signature squid ink paella served with your choice of house gin, beer or wine for $49. Their Wing It Wednesdays also offer crispy chicken wings for just $1 each.

Over at Tomiko Japanese Steak House, teppanyaki fans can enjoy a lunch special featuring steak, chicken or prawns served with Chahan rice and a beer or house wine.
Meanwhile, Oyster Bar keeps the atmosphere lively with live music every Friday evening and relaxed Sunday sessions, pairing fresh oysters and cocktails with waterfront entertainment.
More waterfront entertainment awaits at the Marina Sunset Bar, where guests can enjoy live acoustic music every Friday night and DJs every Saturday night. The music is paired perfectly with their new menu additions, including the crispy Buttermilk Chicken Burger and the Rocket & Prosciutto Pizza.
If you are looking for date night inspiration, family-friendly outings, or an excuse to enjoy the coastline after dark, the Umbrella Lights installation is on now and runs until September 15.
