What to wear

It’s important to dress comfortably yet stylishly for the Wildlands Festival to get your groove on well into the night! Suss the weather forecast well in advance so you can plan your festival outfit and choose the threads you’ll be most comfortable in on the day. Think light, breathable clothing like shorts, jeans, t-shirts, or dresses, and if it looks set to get cooler in the evening, make sure you bring something to take the chill off—that’s if you aren’t working up a sweat with all that dancing!

Being in the prime of the summer season, make sure to bring sunnies, a hat, and the all-important sunscreen. And, of course, comfortable shoes are a must for all the walking and dancing you’ll do!

What to bring

Pack light but smart!

When you’re preparing for the day, make sure you bring:

  • ID
  • some cash
  • a card
  • sunscreen
  • hat
  • water bottle
  • comfy shoes

Also, bags should be smaller than an A4 sheet of paper. And remember to leave all alcohol, aerosols, and large items at home. No food is allowed either, but looking at the list of those vendors, you won’t need anything more.

How to get there

Public Transport

  • Train: For those opting for the train, Mile End Station is conveniently a brief walk from the festival site.
  • Bus: Several bus lines have stops on West Terrace and Sir Donald Bradman Drive, making bus travel a viable option. Check your local routes to find the most direct service.
  • Tram: If you’re coming by tram, get off at the Royal Adelaide Hospital stop. From there, it’s a straightforward walk to the festival. Too east!

Taxi and Rideshare

  • Enjoy the ease of being dropped off right near the festival entrance. The dedicated drop-off zone on Sir Donald Bradman Drive is designed for your convenience and safety, making it a seamless choice for those who prefer a direct route to the festival’s doorstep.

Driving

  • If driving is your preferred mode of transport, be aware that street parking can be scarce and often metered. It’s advisable to scout parking options ahead of time.
  • The importance of a designated driver can’t be overstressed, especially if you plan to indulge in a beverage or two. Ensure you have a safe and responsible plan for your journey home.

Accessibility

  • The festival grounds are primarily flat but covered in grass, which could be challenging to navigate, especially in inclement weather. Wear appropriate footwear and plan accordingly.
  • For specific accessibility needs or questions regarding companion card tickets, contact the festival organizers beforehand. They are dedicated to making Wildlands an inclusive event where everyone can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and electrifying performances.
