We fell in love with Hart of the Barossa the minute we discovered the rustic, off-the-beaten-path winery — not to mention their glorious tasting shed shrouded in an abundance of vine that beautifully changes colour with the seasons.

This is one cellar door boasting just as much beauty as they do fantastic wines produced from the oldest, certified organic vineyard in the Barossa Valley.

The Hart family motto is Brave & Faithful and Shiraz is what they do best! Hart of the Barossa produce two estate grown 100% Shiraz varieties. They have just released their new vintages — 2016 Ye Brave Shiraz and 2015 Ye Faithful Old Vine Shiraz.

Ye Brave is a generous full-bodied valley floor Shiraz. Hand pruned, hand picked and handcrafted, culminating in 18 months maturation in a selection of French and American oak barrels to tame the tannins, plus an extra three years bottle age before release — the Ye Brave Shiraz at its best now until 2028.

Ye Faithful, the flagship Old Vine Shiraz, only produces one or two barrels per year from the vines planted in 1902. It’s so pure it can be traced back to Hart of the Barossa’s single vineyard DNA.

The Ye Faithful is matured 24 months in 100% new French Oak barrels and an extra 3 ½ years bottle age. Good to go til 2050 and beyond!

Limited stock remains of both the 2016 Ye Brave Shiraz and Ye Faithful Old Vine Shiraz, so get in quick to secure an allocation.

You can get the 2016 Shiraz online at $30 per bottle, with a minimum of 6 for free delivery and maximum of 12 per person.

The 2015 Old Vine Shiraz is $115 per bottle, but members can join the Old Vine Club to receive a three pack each vintage for $80 per bottle when available by emailing or calling the Hart of the Barossa team direct.

Wine can also be picked up from the Tasting Shed, which is now open Friday and Saturday by appointment for wine flights and monthly long lunches.
