Chocolate, caramel and pastry lovers rejoice, there is now a marble Caramilk cronut available at Glen Osmond Road’s sweet treat paradise, Jenny’s Gourmet Bakery.
Family-owned favourite Jenny’s have crafted a cronut (the sinfully delicious love child of a croissant and a donut) filled with a rich caramilk hazlenut custard, dusted with sugar, and topped with a smooth chocolate ganache and squares of Caramilk chocolate.
With the cronut only available until the 29th of May, these doughy delights are flying off the shelves for $6 each, selling out to eager pastry patrons each day.
Feeding Adelaide’s insatiable cronut cravings, the Caramilk Cronut is the latest release in a host of Cronut offerings from Jenny’s including Malteaser, Creme Egg, Golden Gaytime and a decadent Picnic cronut, which was filled with peanut butter chocolate custard, a swirl of caramel and finished with a flourish of chocolate ganache and Picnic bar chunks.
Bakery manager Joe Titaro kept tight-lipped about the enticing flavour that awaits customers next week but did reveal they were in conversation with a number of different companies to perfect their popular pastry creation.
“The Caramilk flavour has been so popular with our customers, selling out faster than any of our previous bakes. We currently have a new Caramilk cookie in the works for those who just can’t get enough,” he says.
