Markets, Markets, Markets!

Market, FairIf you like to spend your weekends strolling around a market, then this is going to be the weekend for you!

With at least three markets happening this weekend there is something for everyone.

The annual St Peter’s Fair is on this Saturday 10 April from 10am to 3pm at the Joslin Reserve.  Homemade crafts and produce are again the key feature, along with stalls selling jewellery, arts, baby ware and culinary delights.  With fantastic world cuisines, free face painters, bands and dancers this fair will be fun for the whole family.

Sunday 11 April will mark the first Magill Road Alive street market, starting at 11am and finishing up around 4pm. The aim of the market is to showcase the street’s eclectic shops, cafes and galleries. With the road closed off between Osmond Tce and Edward St, visitors will be able soak up the festival like atmosphere, browse antiques, pre-loved fashions, homewares and lifestyle products. There will even be a chance to bid in one of the antique and art auctions.

The North Adelaide Vintage Fair will hold its 6th market this Sunday 11 April at the Estonian House on Jeffcott St.  This one is for the fashionistas, with stalls selling vintage clothing, jewellery and accessories along with young designers and local boutiques. The fair starts at 9am, so make sure you’re there early to snatch a bargain!
