Mismatch Brewing Co Win Big at Australian International Beer Awards

Big congratulation are in order for South Australia’s own Mismatch Brewing Co as they take out top honours at the Australian International Beer Awards.

The Australian brewing community collectively gathered to celebrate the best beer in the biz at the Australian International Beer Awards, with South Australia’s very own Mismatch Brewing Co taking out a staggering 14 top awards.

Mismatch Brewing Co is no stranger to this calibre of awards, having previously taken out Champion Lager, Pale and Beer at the Independent Brewers Association awards. The AIBA awards are split into 24 categories and are judged blindly by industry peers with the intention of finding and awarding medals for excellence, as well as a champion beer in each category.

Mismatch Brewing even took out the Champion European Style Lager, one of the biggest categories in the competition.

Head brewer at Mismatch brewing Ewan Brewerton is incredibly excited about the teams success.

“We’re proud to win the Champion European Lager. An award that sees your brew, in a highly competitive category, in a style which leaves zero room to hide. SA knows this best and we know we are up against the best in the world,” Ewan shares.

“We didn’t want to make a lager until we had our own brewery, giving it the time and care it needed to become the standard we knew drinkers would love.”

In addition to the Champion European Lager, Mismatch took home seven gold medals, three silver and three bronze awards. A testament to the standards which Mismatch set at their picturesque brewery in the Adelaide Hills. A ‘Beer With Care’ mentality is at the core of what they do when it comes to the quality of the beer, the environment and the community which they support. In return this community is more than happy to support them back.

Mismatch Brewing’s co-owner and brand manager, Marc Huber, is also elated.

“Winning these types of awards is fantastic recognition for the work that our team does and the investment that we put into our beer and the community. We try to push ourselves and listen to what the community wants, a commitment to sustainability and better quality beer and this drives us to do better. We are so humbled by the support that we have received”

Big congratulations to the team at Mismatch Brewing Co!
