Adelaide couture house Paolo Sebastian has stepped onto another international red carpet, with British actress Kaya Scodelario wearing a gown from the label’s latest collection to The Gentlemen Season 2 premiere.
Kaya, who stars in the Netflix series, wore a silk georgette gown featuring crepe inlay, Forget Me Not embellishments and bow detailing from Paolo Sebastian’s 2026 Spring/Summer Couture Collection, Forget Me Not.

The look brought the Adelaide fashion house’s intricate craftsmanship and romantic design aesthetic to the global premiere, showcasing the work of designer and creative director Paul Vasileff.
“To know that our gowns are featured on a global stage is so wonderful and never gets old,” he shared. “We are also extremely thrilled to get to do this all from Adelaide.”
The gown forms part of Forget Me Not, an 11-piece collection inspired by the delicate blue flower and its associations with remembrance, everlasting love and connections that endure across distance and time.
Rather than simply drawing on the flower’s appearance, Paul explored its history and symbolism when developing the collection.
“There’s a long and fascinating history as to how the myosotis wildflower became a token of love and remembrance, especially during war times.
“But what’s really poignant is the dichotomy. A flower so dainty and small its original Greek translation means ‘mouse’s ear’, but which became a symbol of something impenetrable—and that’s the meaning of carrying our loved ones, even when they are not with us.”
The collection combines delicate, old-world details with structured couture techniques, featuring lace, ribbon and corsetry throughout the designs.
Forget-me-not blue leads a soft colour palette of tea rose, noir and marron glacé. Every gown incorporates an element of ribbon, from organza and embroidered bows to ribbons woven into cuffs, straps and exposed corsets.
The collection also marks a first for the Paolo Sebastian atelier, introducing Lyon lace, which is traditionally heavier and more detailed than French Chantilly lace. Paul discovered the fabric during a research trip to Paris, where he visited longstanding lace mills.
“The lace is corded and almost has this paint-like watercolour quality to it. It carries this innate sense of strength and longevity, yet remains utterly beautiful,” he shared.
Among the collection’s standout pieces are an accordion ballerina dress with a crystal-beaded corset and bow-pleated skirt, a ballgown covered in floral paillettes and a finale wedding dress featuring an off-shoulder Lyon lace design, matching veil and ribboned cuffs.
For Paul, the collection’s meaning extends beyond the gowns themselves.
“So much of our humanity lies in how we are remembered, or how we hope to be. But to be in a position where we can be the one who remembers, to cherish someone we love and who loved us in return, romantic or otherwise, is a gift I believe wholly worth the endeavour.”
The Forget Me Not collection explores the idea of memory, love and the lasting connections people carry with them, translated into couture through delicate embellishment, intricate lace and carefully constructed silhouettes.
Kaya’s red carpet appearance adds to Paolo Sebastian’s growing list of international celebrity clients. The Adelaide label has previously dressed stars including Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, SZA, Alexandra Leclerc, Halle Bailey, Karol G, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Sydney Sweeney.

With Kaya now wearing one of the collection’s gowns on an international red carpet, another piece of Adelaide-made couture has found its way onto the global stage.
And for Paolo Sebastian, the opportunity to share that work with the world while continuing to design and create from Adelaide remains a significant part of its story.
