There’s a new kid on the block in Henley. 44 More Clothing Studio is more than your average retailer, featuring a coffee joint and an awesome support local ethos.
Owner, Daniel, says that fashion has always been a big part of his life, but acknowledges that sometimes the industry can be hard for those without big names to leverage.
Wanting to give the local little fish a boost amidst the bigger brands, 44 More Clothing Studio was built on the idea of supporting local brands — some which will be new to you.
We asked about the brands that you can expect to shop at 44 More Clothing Studio and the line up is an epic showcase of smalltime, local designers, as well a sprinkling of international talent.
Split Surf Co is a brand created by two sixteen-year-olds from the Adelaide Hills who ventured into design. Their clothes exude beachy, surfer vibes, with bright colours and eclectic, tropical-inspired patterns.
Token international designer, Gone For The Day Clothing, was the first brand Daniel signed. Based in Melbourne, these tees feature big designs on the back with the message to live free and run wild.
Back to the locals, Cuben The Label, is another Adelaide brand making surf and street wear, with an emphasis on creating over-sized and baggy basic tees. And pair your new tee with a hat from local brand, Sonic Heads!
Daniel also stocks his own line of tees, with a design that advocates eliminating single-use plastics, created together with a Tasmanian designer. His second line encourages wearers to Stay Rad.
After perusing through the collection of local brands and perhaps snagging yourself a new tee, swing by the coffee bar. You will find Daniel brewing your coffee too, after having moved to Melbourne to learn the ways of the barista — and gaining a new appreciation for the art in the meantime.
44 More is a clothing studio, coffee joint, and more — a venture that can’t be described in a single word.
Daniel wants to create an easygoing atmosphere where people can come and go, whether they are there for coffee, clothes, or a listening ear.
