Right from the heart of Australia’s dance music scene, two Melbourne DJs are bringing their renowned sound to the South.
With a lineup of unconventional concerts under their belt – think amphitheatres through to expansive fields – they’ll be bringing their eclectic sound to Oddio in Bowden.
But one thing’s a given: the dance floor follows them, no matter where they choose to set up.
Simon TK and Edd Fisher are the two faces behind the affair. Two Melbourne music-lovers, their label: Wax’o Paradiso, began as a record fair, before spiralling into a music label – so you can guarantee the sets they bring harbour the same eclecticism that comes when digging through a record crate.
Their style spans “rare groove, psychedelia, Balearic drift, Italo heat, house, disco and all the leftfield corners in between”, so there’ll definitely be something to tickle your fancy – or scratch that itch in your brain for some Balearic drift or Italo heat that, until now, you didn’t even know you had.

The Wax’o Paradiso team will be joined by DJs brigittebrigitte, crownruler, Nantale, SINK, piapaella and more.
And name a more fitting venue for their takeover than Oddio, a heritage-listed church turned wine bar that opens intermittently for takeovers by some of the state’s best restaurants, events, weddings and much more. The venue exhibits a similar appreciation for both the old and the new, and with it’s lofty ceilings and curated interior, it’s the perfect host for such an event.
To seal the deal, Sunny’s Pizza is jumping on board, providing the carb-loaded sustenance needed to carry your dancing from afternoon into the long hours of the night.
With tickets starting from just $30, if we’re tallying up the number of DJs and hours of dancing, divided by the cost per hour, we’d say it equals a pretty solid formula for a guaranteed good Saturday in July.
