paolosebastiansneakpeekThe Paolo Sebastian Spring/Summer 2014-15 collection has launched today (insert extreme excitement in the Glam Adelaide office here) and we’ve got it now for your viewing pleasure! The collection features thirteen striking pieces inspired by the legend of the sea sirens.

Fast becoming one of the biggest names in fashion, Paul Vasileff, the 24-year-old behind high fashion label Paolo Sebastian, has dressed the likes of Catt Sadler, Keltie Knight and Giuliana Rancic as well as Australian faces Dannii Minogue, Carrie Bickmore (best-dressed at the Logies), Kylie Gilles, Michelle Bridges, Ada Nicodemou and Georgie Gardner.

Featuring a series of muted tones drawn from the coast, shades include sea foam, violet and shell.

Cloudy opal stones, iridescent beads, and shell-like embellishments evoke an otherworldly feel, whilst this season’s custom print – inspired by vibrant coral feels – embodies the flirtatious nature of the siren.

The collection features intensely embroidered ball gowns, sheer fishtail silhouettes in soft tulle and a cut out swimsuit. The intricately hand-beaded finale gown exemplifies the craftsmanship that the label prides itself upon.

“This season we have gone for a sleeker look,” says designer Paul Vasileff. “We have remind true to our classic Paolo Sebastian shape, whilst playing with sheerness and texture to create something new.”

“In the past I’ve looked to conventional fairy tales for inspiration, but this season I was drawn to the concept of the siren and her blend of beauty and darkness” says Vasileff.
